Based on the videos of him, he’ll look immense in the bright orange kit.

Is he a regular in the Brazil squad, or did he happen to be included at one time ?

Think he has only been in the squad once. Given though that Allison (Liverpool) and Ederson (Man City) are 1st and 2nd choice him being around 3rd or 4th choice probably suggests he is fairly decent.

Looking at his highlights reel he likes to fall on his arse a bit, gives me Kiko the Clown vibes already

Also, hes from Brazil? Kids growing up in Brazil do NOT want to be the keeper

Not with such great names as Pele, Neymar and Bruno Ribeiro in the mix

Aye just watched the YT content. He gets down really well for a big man. I can see a few Perri to DJ moments this season.

Have to say i know nothing about how good, or bad he is. If he is close to being as good as Allison or Ederson then great news for us. Time will tell, we may want Mes back again :)

If we don't get 10M plus for Mes I'd keep him.

For all his calmities, Meslier is surely worth close to the £10m mark.

In fairness to Perri he's never been a ball playing goalie so why ask him to do it?

He wasn't a shot stopper today either. Jeez if Mes is better than Perri in the long run!!!

Still, needs time to settle and GK is a wierd position but if he saves the Saka shot? 1-0 at HT?

Why sign him if we are going to play that way then?

He is known for his long distribution but we have two short arses on the wing an Piroe up front who isn't exactly known for his hold up play.

So, what is he?

More displays like that & I'll be wanting Darlow between the sticks.

He's an old fashioned shot stopping goalie decent in the air

(Up for debate perhaps)

But he's never ever been a sweeper ball playing keeper type.

So can't blame him for being bad at things he's never been good at imo

He had very little to do v Everton and did nothing wrong.
He looked a bit iffy with the ball at his feet but that could’ve been debut nerves…

Today, still iffy on the ball so there will be future problems but didn’t have many instances to show what he can do.
The six yard box was jam packed on both corner goals, so he couldn’t really barge through loads of players, I don’t think he can be blamed on those goals.
The Saka goal - could’ve done better but every keeper gets caught out by Saka from there (I’d expect 70% of his goals are exactly like that, blasting the ball high into the net from that angle)

Unsighted for their new striker’s goal too, and it’s early days in a faster league so I’m not go to be too harsh on him atm.
