It's not losing the player so much (he won't be here next season unless he has a stinker) but the timing that's a worry, I guess all those clamouring for Nunez to start will be happy though. but then with two players on the left who can't/won't defend......

...hope it's true...as much as i like Max,it's unsettling the squad....and if he wants to go,let him.

Let Nunez start every match,like he should have done against Ipswich !

that left hand side would be a weakness then with two players playing out of position, and one of them still very green

But only last week Ken said "He's going nowhere"and he never tells lies.


Anyway I'm sure there's a 35 yr old loanee coming in as a replacement.

Firstly, Max looks happy & content at Leeds & is always laughing & joking with the rest of the players in the pre-match warm up, i haven't witnessed any of the squad looking unsettled or any arguments during play, yes you get the niggle from one or two purely out of frustration, but nothing to suggest there is dis-harmony amongst the ranks !

Along with Clayton, Max is our hardest working player in the team, his energy is unbelievable hence where the song came from "he's here, he's there, he's every f.....g where" he helps whatever left back he is playing with infact last season when we had the inept McCartney down the flank he played left back, left wing & upfront on many occassions plus 18 goals in the onion bag too !
You won't see Nunez tracking back or even putting a tackle in mindst Ronan no disrespect to you mate but you wouldn't realise as you probably only see the highlights which makes Ramon look like a world-beater !

Believe me from one who attends the majority of the games, we will miss Max big-time should he leave LU

Isn't Max out of the country with The Ivory Coast?...

At the risk of exploding the thread, I was told yesterday (Source John Mclleland) that we will re-sign Smith, so I expect Gradel to be sold and then Smith swiftly announced. I'd expect Nunez to then slot into Max's boots in the team. They've been discussing the loan deal all summer apparently.

I'll be honest it's not a waccoer I "know" well. 400 odd posts in 5 years suggests he's not an attention seeker though and he's named a source....still I wouldn't put too much credence in it
