As per reports elsewhere, Leeds United close to completing a deal with Lyon for goalkeeper Lucas Perri. That flight booked today from Lyon to Paderborn suggests a medical will take place here in Germany rather than back in England. That was the case with Stach too.

Brazilian keeper who stands at 6'6" tall

Can throw a ball from the goal mouth to over the half way line... that's got to be useful.

Hope this move comes off, he looks like just the type of keeper we need.

Yes, that was very evident.

Only noticed one catch from a cross.

Decent from crosses
Decent save percentage
Likes a throw out.

Interestingly though doesn't seem to fit the sweeper ball playing goalie stuff.

Perhaps less of a focus on playing out from the back which actually I'd be encouraged by and for me would show a lesson learned from DF.

That playing out from the back is a disaster waiting to happen. I hated that back and forth between the goalie and the back four, especially when Meslier had to trap the ball in front of the goal mouth... a bobble on the ball, a miss timed stop and i feared the ball would be in the back of the net from an own goal.

I was coached to never pass the ball across the pen area and when passing back to the keeper pass it so it won't go in if the GK misses it, has fallen asleep, is sneaking a fag behind the goal line..

If he had the same ending to his name as Illan, he'd be Perrier

At 27 just coming into his prime. At £15.6 million seems to be a relative bargain.

Lyon did pretty well, too. They paid less than £3 million for him only a year ago.

At 6'6" we can send him up for set pieces too. We've assembled a team of giants.

Can i finally start coming out from behind the place i've been eating from, working from since Meslier was last in the nets for us, or too early yet?

You've been behind your dining room?

Looks a good keeper. Lots of stunning saves in the reel. Only proviso is that he seems to like to parry the ball rather than catch it. Our defence is going to have to be alert to all the times he could feasibly push the ball out to the feet of an oncoming attacker. Hopefully, it's just the bias of the film.

There is a a different perspective, if we lumped the ball forward last season we did not have anyone in forward areas to target. Even you will surely admit that Piroe is not a target man and is not very good playing with his back to the opposition goal. We also had James, BA and MS. To not play out would have been folly.
We are clearly - with the signing of Nmecha etc ensuring we have another outlet that is less likely to lose the ball during initial contact. The signing of Giant Haystack will also provide another target.

One of those wait and see signing. Goalkeeper is tough to evaluate. We do need a change and I think Darlow is not a starter, fingers crossed we got a good one. Seems well thought of

Like what we're doing, bringing in experienced players with European and international experience, rather than being obsessed about potentially selling young players for a profit in a few years. Just a bit concerned about bringing in too many players from abroad, as not all adapt well to the climate etc.

Seen the videos, not convinced. Made a few very good saves last season but not commanding on set pieces.
