Very attacking looking line-up - Gruev for Stach a more natural replacement than Tanaka. Up to Tanaka to really take his chance now and show he is worth £12m.

Surprised at the line-up and hope the bold moves pay off. Was expecting a back 5 and then Ampadu, Gruev, Longstaff and Aaronsen in midfield with DCL on his own up front.

7 defensive players, 8 if you count Tanaka, Stach and Rodon out injured and Longstaff still can't get a start for us.

Makes you wonder why we spent a load of money on him to just to stick him on the bench. I think he would have came here for first team football, but he's not getting a sniff.

Not that I'm a fan of his, but seems like another wasted transfer.

Why, given that we haven't scored a PL goal since 21st Feb ? If there was ever a time to inject some creativity it is now surely ?

I guess if you signed players with the injury record of Byram, Bornauw, Okafor, Nmecha and DCL, you'd have to cop a deaf un when the medical team opened their mouths

Yeah, DCL would be pocketed by Maguire. He's a very good defender of set pieces and a real threat on set pieces at our end.

As a purd old fashioned meat and potatoes defender he's very good, so great that he's missing.

My biggest worry was Kobe Mainoo, whose found a new lease of life under Carrick. He could quite easily have bossed the midfield.

So, two key pieces missing for them, but we've got Rodon and Stach out, who are as equally important for us.
