its the morning after and im actually still f**king gutted and frustrated for not picking up all 3 points . however after watching that performance footballing wise probably our best performance so far this season . i dare say i am now more optimistic considering without key players that we can actually be top two contenders this season. not seen anything to scare us at the moment and i believe we will get even stronger during the season under biesla leadership . on this evidence leeds are far from falling apart !!!! mot.

Bielsa gives his special smile and stays truthful and humble.
The interviewer pays him a compliment and Bielsa returns
a devastation backhand volley and it is game set and match.

Long year lads we need these results ,every team has a plan b , I think Bànnan might have done the same if his teammates pressed like Phillips team mates did Leroy fear made a child out of him when I seen viera make micnce out of Bradley Johnson will Hughes and think huddlstone ,, that's the role that he had marked out for viera enforcer and class passer ,, teams are figuring us out there's no harm in plan b play two strikers big small ,, how the hell didn't we win clear cut chances which I hate saying it we would have one if lassoga or wood were playing ... Harrison improving every game , prob Hernandez and Rolfe playing that game would have been won .
Welcome to MOT Pat

I'm unsure how anyone can be negative after that performance.

I'm not Cooper's biggest fan however he hasn't done much wrong this season

BPF couldn't have stopped Reach's worldie

As for the Phillips/Vieira argument, Ronaldo was nowhere as consistent as KP who has generally been superb this season. I rarely miss a game so believe me Vieira was nowhere near the finished article, he was very inconsistent & as for being a class passer you're having a laugh, passing was the weakest part of his game. £7m for a player who wouldn't have featured much in Bielsa set-up is a good price, especially as Klich, Phillips & Forshaw have more to offer & are ready-made for the first XI

I do agree we are missing Hernandez & Roofe big-time & if both were available of the last few games we'd probably achieved more than two points from the Millwall, Brum & Sheff Wed games

We were brilliant last night, even the Owls fans on their forums recognise how good we were with many admitting they were extremely lucky to come away with a point

Whether we get promoted or not, I am so pleased to be able to watch a Leeds United side, playing with so much skill and verve. Gone are the days when I am nervous before a match - I just know that we can perform to a very high level, and the results will look after themselves. I am enjoying the ride.

Agreed, I've no idea whether we'll finish first or 9th right now, all teams need the rub of the green to be successful and we're not getting that yet. We're light years ahead of TC's team already though and we've out played just about every team we have played except maybe Swansea who bossed us at times.

How the hell did we not win that game ?

We played scintillating football for much of the 90 minutes, we stuffed the Owls in every aspect of the game apart from the scoreline. I can't recall a game in many years where we have been totally dominant & not come away with a victory, tbh we rarely consistently dominated games since our relegation from the premiership

Positives

Our style of full-on attacking football.
Total dominance of the game
Outplay the opposition without a three of our best players.
Our passing was back on song.
Showed character after the defeat v Birmingham.
Klich's equaliser.
In Klich we have a goal-scoring central midfielder.
Phillips showed why he should be in the starting XI, credit to lad as his head could have gone down after being hauled off twice in the first half-hour of games.
Roberts looking more confident, never had a opportunity on goal though.

Negatives

Wednesday score with a worldie that dipped wickedly
Not clinical enough in front of goal, will change once Roofe & Hernandez return.
Far too many poor crosses

8 Peacock-Farrell
7 Ayling
7 Cooper
8 Phillips
8 Jansson
7 Douglas
9 Klich
6 Alioski
6 Harrison
8 Saiz
7 Roberts

And a section of our fans still keep making comparisons to TC's team & last seasons start

As you say mate we are so much better by a country mile

yeah no need to make comparisons - we had a better start under TC as we had more points on the board....everyone was waxing lyrical about TC's side at the start of last season and tipping us to go up, somehow this all gets forgotten after the other 2/3 of the season were awful

Extended highlights with SWFC commentary. BPF had a couple of excellent saves.

Four of those early victories were against teams who finished :

17th Forest
21st Bolton
23rd Burton
24th Sunderland

I'll never forget how awful we were last season. I posted in December we were poor when we were nicking wins playing average football. I also said on the 31st December after losing to the bottom club Birmingham at that time we'd struggle from then on. How right I was as 2018 was a bleeding nightmare. Under Bielsa we won't experience that type of football or finish 13th in the championship.

And everyone wasn't waxing lyrical....though to be fair I didn't want TC from day 1.

A pleasure Pat, good to hear your opinions.

Agree Phillips has shown real character following those two knockbacks, Bielsa refuses to blame him & obviously rates KP highly.

That role should be meat & drink for Forshaw, will be interesting how effective he is in that position if he can remain fit, he is extremely injury-prone
