Re: Leeds Utd v Millwall Match Thread - Poveda makes the bench for Leeds
I follow the forum for months, but never wanted to write because I can't stand this kind of "fans"... don't suppose Leeds has the best fans of the english football? If that is true, I can't even imagine how are the other ones...
I was watching the game today and was pathetic to come here and read some comments, specially against a coach like Marcelo Bielsa.
Understand this: HE KNOWS MUCH MORE THAN ALL OF YOU ABOUT FOOTBALL.
You should be grateful of having him. I'm chilean and I'd kill for having him again on my national squad... we were beasts under his direction, now, we are s**t...
When he goes, you'll understand how lucky you are...

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa said:
"It's not what I said which provoked the change. Maybe the match looked like it was strange, but it's a copy of all our matches.
"A lot of chances to make three goals, the opponent goals were similar to what we normally concede.
"We played very well in attack. It is similar to most of our matches. In the second half it was easier when we were playing in more space."
Millwall manager Gary Rowlett said:
"I'm disappointed, but overall we've been given a lesson. They (Leeds) were thoroughly deserved winners.
"Ten days without a game has probably benefitted Leeds which you saw with the running and energy.
"We knew this was a tough place to come. To get in at half-time 2-0 up, we didn't perform well enough after that."

Excuses from Rowett. They were lucky to be 2-0 up anyway. They had no plan once we got the first, only time wasting and that cost them in the end.gessa wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 10:48 pm Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa said:

Calm down, Leeds fans have every right to feel worried and angered as we've seen our team throw away countless promotion chances over the years. But welcome to the forum.maltrain wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 10:45 pm I follow the forum for months, but never wanted to write because I can't stand this kind of "fans"... don't suppose Leeds has the best fans of the english football? Definitely seems to be enjoying himself.

Maybe you're right, we will soon find out. I very much hope that he can take us to the PL but if he doesn't and leaves I wish him the very best of luck in whatever he decides to do. Yes he does know more than each and every one of us on here and we all have our opinions and even though we turned it around in the 2nd half I still stand by what I said. I will hold my hands up if I'm proved wrong.maltrain wrote: I follow the forum for months, but never wanted to write because I can't stand this kind of "fans"... don't suppose Leeds has the best fans of the english football? Bamford covering his ears when scoring, embarrassing and arrogant imo. Fans have been singing his name all season, even when he's been costing us countless points. Be humble.

Beren Cross
@BerenCross
Gary Rowett suggests there was pressure put on the referee during half-time by Leeds, but it wasn't the coaching staff or players. #lufc
You lost Gaz, get over it. Such a sore loser.

Agree, I think the support he has gotten from the fans at games has been top class and when you consider he has had many lean spells. You’d imagine that it’s aimed at online comments, which have been over the top. Thing with him though, is even when he scores he still misses lots of chances. The celebration shows he obviously let’s it get to him. I think he will do well for us as the back up striker, could break 20 for the season which isn’t a bad return but a top quality striker hits 30 plus in this side
I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..

The ref today was from Barnsley. That explains it
Good to see the EFL selecting impartial refs again.

Embarrassing for you more like it.
Perhaps after scoring a couple of goals
He enjoys a bit of silence from the drip drip drip
of the negativity he has to endure.
I am glad tonight he proved all the nay sayers on here wrong.
I am glad he stood proud and arrogant and covered his ears,
instead of cowering like a whipped dog.
We want all of the team to be strong and proud and to silence everybody,

Re: Leeds Utd v Millwall Match Thread - Poveda makes the bench for Leeds
Again, we were 95% good in the first half, an understandable defensive mix up and some very poor reffing put us 2 down, not the players so much but it did hit them for a while
..If Klich keeps going around this level that he has for the last couple of months he's runaway player of the season for me...Harrison walks into every other starting 11 in the league. White would too, Ditto Hernandez. Phillips I'm told maybe the best DMF in the country...Ayling Dallas Berardi Alioski would also start for most teams. We have Forshaw, Roberts and Shack waiting to come back
No idea where this we don't have quality players rhetoric comes form tbh and we've probably just added two more ..Hands up who was disappointed we didn't see Poveda for 5 minutes tonight?

Consider my hand raised, though I think the point needed to be made that our existing squad can win on their own merits. The new fellas must be admiring the team they've come into after that second half.faaip wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 11:39 pm Again, we were 95% good in the first half, an understandable defensive mix up and some very poor reffing put us 2 down, not the players so much but it did hit them for a while
