I follow the forum for months, but never wanted to write because I can't stand this kind of "fans"... don't suppose Leeds has the best fans of the english football? If that is true, I can't even imagine how are the other ones...

I was watching the game today and was pathetic to come here and read some comments, specially against a coach like Marcelo Bielsa.

Understand this: HE KNOWS MUCH MORE THAN ALL OF YOU ABOUT FOOTBALL.

You should be grateful of having him. I'm chilean and I'd kill for having him again on my national squad... we were beasts under his direction, now, we are s**t...

When he goes, you'll understand how lucky you are...

So there I was having a beer at half time, and thinking to myself Leeds are running Millwall ragged.
2-0 down and I am quietly thinking we can get back in the game, I come on here can can not believe
the bitching that is going on, Bamford scores; Pablo scores and Paddy the baddie puts the game to bed.
The crowd are chanting his name, and after his second goal, he covers his ears with his gloved hands,
as if to say, after all the shite I have taken over the past weeks, I don't want to hear your praise, you are
as fickle as hell. It is good that he does not listen to any any of those keyboard warriors and their negativity.

Alioski kisses the ball girl on the head. He is feeling good. Paddy does a Bruce Gobbelaar spaghetti
legged dance in front the the Millwall goalkeeper, and gets booked for it. It is what the young folks
term as sublime shithousery. Bielsa sits on his bucket and smiles, and wonders about those idiots
who are calling for his dismissal... or at least a plan B. Millwall are dead on their legs pounded and
ground to a fine dust by a superior team who have all the tenacity of a Tasmanian Devil.

No wait a second this is the team that is suffering from burnout, the team that is collapsing and have no
mental strength, the team that is destined once more for failure... give me a break will you.

Rejoice and be glad for this is the day of the resurrection.

Missed the game tonight, booked a meal out with my girl. The things we do for love eh? Must say during the main course I couldn’t help getting a bit excited after Bambi’s first goal, throwing both hands up when Pablo scored the equaliser, then standing up and cheering with fists aloft when Paddy knocks the winner in. Not sure what the other diners thought, but as I say, the things we do for love .

Some of us do appreciate how fortunate we are to have him here.

My only complaint is that he has ruined football for me, and it will be difficult to watch anyone else's football in the future.

I shall definitely be a Bielsa widow when he leaves.

Here in Chile, in fact, the media call "Bielsa's widows" to all the fans (thousands and thousands) who miss Bielsa until this day. Some chileans, on Twitter, remember every day some phrase or date from Bielsa. And many follow his career wherever he goes... I'm still a Bilbao and a Olympique fan.

Now, in Leeds, I see every video on YouTube from LUFC Vlogger, LUFC Lewis, All Leeds TV and many more... I care more about Bielsa than Alexis Sánchez or Arturo Vidal. I'm a fan of a team fighting for returning to the first division, after being champions many times, but if someone ask me... I prefer Leeds goes up. In fact, I know every player of Leeds, even the U23 ones (I see some matches on YouTube), but I can't say the same about the chilean team I follow... XD

Missed the apparently derogatory comments at half time. Can’t understand them really, though at my age I’ve learnt the hard way not to get too down when things don’t go to plan. It’s just the way it is following Leeds anyway. I prefer to just get behind the lads and support them whatever happens. Isn’t that what MOT means?

Fantastic fightback. Showed great spirit and mental toughness to come back after the poor run that we've had. Going 2-down in such circumstances would have destroyed the spirit of most teams.

And well done to Patrick for getting back on the score-sheet after a barren spell.

Hopefully the second half of the match marks a turnaround that continues till the end of the season.

the defending from ayling for the first goal was horrendous (great cross for the third though!) - kiko probably should be coming out to get that too

There were two things that Bamford did last night that caught my attention (no not his goals you silly billys) It was covering his ears with his gloves after he scored and doing the Bruce Gobbelaar spaghetti legged dance in front of the Millwall goalkeeper.

It was as if he was saying "Come on now mate you have been taking 30 sec to clear your lines in the past... what's your hurry now?" There definitely has been a metamorphosis from Lord Bamford to Paddy the Baddie, and this is side of his game were are beginning to see more of.

Now from all the clamour that is going on many fans have viewed JKA as a replacement for Bamford, but if you listen to Bielsa then the two addition to the team were for the loss of Nketiah and Clark... period.

It is a real surprise to me that regardless of Bamford giving us the victory through a glorious comeback, instead of rejoicing in the goals he scored they lament about the chances he missed. They also accuse him of being arrogant because he covered his ears. They are like a dog with a bone... they just won't let go of what they believe Bamford to be, and repeat ad nauseum what they perceive to be his deficiencies... and not one iota of praise comes from their lips. Bamford is embarrassing and arrogant... they have to maintain their negative stance on Bamford by demeaning him in every way possible... the man who has just secured a Leeds victory. It is just unreal.

You have to wonder what was going through Bamford's head when he covered his ears. It was the strangest celebration that I have ever seen. If you want to silence the crowd then it is usually one finger raised to the lips... but this was different it was as though he was saying "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY MORE" of your criticism... give me a break.

When you hear Bielsa speak he talks about "the collective" and the work Bamford does is for the team. For God's sake give the boy a round of applause... he deserves it after last night's performance.

So maybe you could explain the the great unwashed why he needs to get so close to goal.? Why does he waste so many when he has the keeper to work?

On a side note, I wonder what the VAR would or could do in such circumstances. I can't recall ever having seen a similar situation.

VAR's do usually look at penalty decisions but would I assume focus on the actual foul or alleged foul.

I wonder if they can overturn a penalty because the attack should never have happened in the first place. I assume - for example - if the fouled player was offside, that they would give a free kick for the defending team, but how far back would they or could they go.

Anyone witnessed anything like this in relation to the VAR?

I will always repudiate any claim that Bamford is rubbish or that he brings no value to the team, but he is not a great goalscorer and I doubt that he ever will be.

I'd expect a haul of 15-20 goals from him rather than 25-30, but I don't think he'll ever be a prolific goalscorer.

That is why it is good that he gets into positions to score goals and has lots of attempts. He won't score a high proportion of goals to shots but if he has enough efforts on goal, he will score enough goals for us to be successful.

When it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter how many chances you miss, as long as you create enough chances to score enough goals to win matches/get promoted.

That's my thoughts too, he has also been quite lucky when you consider the timing.

Eddie gets the nod then gets injured. Bamford finds a few goals to add to his game.
JKA shows up but too late to start and Bamford scores a brace.

I really do hope both these strikers can contribute to our run in, but I would hate JKA to be held back to the degree some of us felt Eddie was.

But last night potentially could be a massive springboard going in Feb and we will need Bamford to be at his best.
