Bit of a dilemma with him. He's out of contract at the end of the season and we risk getting nothing for him

At the start of this season, I didn't think he was worth a new contract. I didn't think he'd be good enough for the premier league if we got promoted. This season, I've changed my mind. In this system he looks really good, And he'd probably be really good with a back 3 too.

For me they are still the biggest threat to us winning the division- which on its own shows that we should win the title without too much of a problem barring our own inability to win matches when we should.
If Sheffield United are favourites to finish second, then we should p1ss this league by a long way

I think Burnley are the second favourites with the bookies but I can see Sheff U just getting result after result without looking any good. I see Burnley more as a hot and cold team. Apart from those two there doesn't really look to be anyone else really capable of doing well enough over the season to get 90+ points - I see Sunderland and Wee BA Baracus doing okay but likely around the 75 points mark and play-offs only.

Agree. He will be a good squad player in the PL. He is growing into his role and it seems some of the 1on1 coaching he is getting is making him less erratic.
I'd try to keep him.

But was bullied off the ball a few times, bad touches, and awful end product.

He has been poor for a long time now imo, a player in his role is meant to be the X factor.

He falls a mile short.
I agree cjay. His workrate is top notch, but he has to gain maturity when in attacking positions. I think he will. He seems settled now.
Good lad for the squad.

Good lad for the squad.
Great attitude, work rate and vision, but for £25m he needs to be working the keeper far more in the Championship and still looks lightweight.

If we are promoted, will he be a force to be reckoned with?

Remind me....what does XG actually stand for....ahhh....its a bit of guess work. Now I remember.

Not too much guesswork to get an xG that low. Like any equation, the less inputs there are, the less the final number will be :)

Indeed Andrew.

Wilder even admitted "we were better in every department"

We've played five of the top seven clubs & not one of them have impressed me yet!

I thought their supposedly main stars Hamer, O'hare & Moore looked ordinary.

The Blunts were unbeaten & hadn't conceded a goal in their last six consecutive games, just like Sunderland who hadn't conceded at home, however we comfortably score two goals against both our current rivals, earning ourselves four points which should have been six.

Last night was probably the best all round team/squad performance we've seen for some time.

Two further points;

Tanaka & Rothwell were/are a better combination than Gruev & Ampedu.

My initial assessment of Rothwell could not have been more wrong and last night he showed true quality. Which means I'm happy to admit that on this occasion judgement was passed far too quickly as he's a really good player and we're lucky to have him.

Well, unless Firpo and Bogle both get suspended for the same game there's no issue there. Kinda hoping to get a good look at Schmidt tbh, looks to be a player there

God knows what we do if/when Rodon gets suspended. I still can't figure out what I'd do in that scenario.

Thought after last night that Firpo is now on 5 yellows and therefore suspended for Watford on Tuesday night ?
