Had Kiko saved it through foul play means he should be penalised too

My point is that Millwall's was the more accurate and better pen. All GK's move before the ball is actually struck..most take a small step forward then dive or whatever

So referees don't apply the rules but make up decisions when it suits them as has been the case a few times this season

All goalkeepers move, we could use VR and re take pens 6/7 times a game or just accept it happens. The degree of movement isn't really the issue unless of course the keeper isn't getting to the ball before the penalty taker does. Penalty takers themselves often use the initial movement to adjust or help with placement.

The quality of reffing in the championship is sub standard though and it levels the playing field.

The SU keeper against City a couple of weeks ago was a good metre off his line before the city player hit the ball. Keeper saved it play continued.

They changed that rule a few years back so the keeper can kick it from either side. However there really is no need to take the ball all the way to the other side it is just time wasting pure and simple.

Why give footballers the opportunity to cheat?

Women's World Cup Final 1999
Penalty shootout
USA keeper wins it for her team by saving the penalty when about 3 or 4 yards off her line.
That's why they do it.

Every foot forward narrows the angle and makes the target smaller but it's almost impossible for a keeper not to move before the ball is kicked
