Bristol City Match Thread

Post by Silky »

I'm thinking Andy Keogh could play on the left... he'll still get through heaps of work and win things in the air, and i'm sure he played as a winger quite a bit for Wolves.

Start Becchio up top with Ross, and hopefully Danny Pugh will be signd up to play LB

--------------- Lonergan
--- Lees - Kisnorbo - O'Dea - Pugh
Snodgrass - Howson - Clayton - Keogh
-------- Becchio - McCormack

Ya Id play him out left too, need his work rate and we need becchio and ross upfront, and we have forsell coming off the bench then! Keogh has played out wide for Ireland too any time hes gotten a game

are you sure LB is 90 minute match fit, Caus I wouldn't want a key player tiring at the 60 minute mark. Bench for me.at least for a couple more games, tired unfit players are much more likely to get injured. I don't like Keogh on the left and I'd start him next to McCormack again

four players still needed both full backs a centre mid and left sided mid. LB and centre mid are crucial

Lonergan
Lees, O'Dea. Kis Taylor....
Snodgrass Howson Clayton White
McCormack, Keogh

Becchio, Nunez, Brown, Bromby Sam

You never play the same team twice - you sign players every week - our LB was our best defender yesterday so you drop him and save Lees who keeps making mistakes. Keogh out of position [Keogh is like Smith, a striker who doesn't score goals but gives 100% with the result that he ends up in midfield] in your search for the perfect blend. I take my hat off to you and to the amber nectar you so clearly enjoy before posting

Have you ever seen Keogh play for Wolves or Ireland? He has often played out wide and done very well, better than most other options out wide?

Unlike others who just post the side that they would play, i try and pick sides that i think Simon will play...

Would you just keep the same starting XI we had on Saturday then WR?

*EDIT*

I did a quick search just to show WR (and make sure myself )that i dont pick sides willy nilly, coz he's quite smug and i dont understand why

Since the beginning of August i've posted a grand total of 6 starting XI's, in which time we've played 8 games...

The most recent of which have been...

Ipswich:
----------- Keogh
------------------- McCormack
Gradel - Howson - Clayton - Snodgrass
---- White - Kisnorbo - O'Dea - Lees
--------------- Lonergan

Middlesborough:
----------------- Lonergan
--- Lees - O'Dea - Kisnorbo - Parker
Snodgrass - Howson - Clayton - Gradel
---------------- Billy - Ross

Hull:
---------------- Lonergan
- Lees - Bromby - Kisnorbo - O'Dea
- Snoddy - Clayton - Brown - Sam
---------- McCormack - Keogh

Heaps of new signings in there WR

Depends who's fit I reckon. I don't ever pick a team. Doesn't matter who plays if the approach [philosophy] is wrong.

Why would anyone keep a check of all their previous teams/posts? Bit smug if you ask me

Never seen white play winger, so cant say, but Keogh is a viable optition, would prefer white if he could nail that spot down for the season

I just used the search function... i searched for "----- Lonergan"

Whether you were trying to or not, your post was very patronising... as if to say "Never mind his team selection, he changes his mind every 2minutes and doesnt know anything"...

... I just wanted to show that you were wrong

WR should be the manager of Leeds United. That is one fact so very clear with razor sharp focus.

Only you WR. You're the only one that does it to me....

Take it as a compliment.

It is odd because i still think that just about the only thing we disagree on is Bradley Johnson. We should be working together!

How do we differ on BJ - I thought he was a decent player who added much needed muscle to our midfield. Never a world beater but a useful bloke to have around. Early signs suggest Clayton is tons better - everyone we have recruited is better than the blokes they replaced imo. What's to disagree about - unless it's because I only have us in the play offs and you have us winning the league by 10 clear points

------------Lonergan
---------------------------------------------
Snodgrass -- Howson -- Lees -- Clayton -- White
Nunez -- Becchio -- McCormack -- Forsell -- Keogh

I realise that this line-up isn't sensible...given that I don't think Becchio or Clayton could last the full 90 minutes but other than that, I think we've improved. Score: Leeds 15-9

I agree Lonergan is a clear improvement on Grella
