Leeds v Middlesbro' - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
I feel Warnock needs to make at least a couple of changes to freshen things up as i'm sure there will be some weary legs from the Chelsea game. I'd make four changes from the first eleven which started on Wednesday night
Kenny
Byram Lees Tate Drury (if fit)
Green Tonge Norris Thomas
Diouf Becchio
Subs : Ashdown Pearce Peltier White Brown Hall McCormack

Does Tonge not return until after the boro game?
We'll only go 2 games without him, I think we can manage that!

Tonge's loan is up after 'Boro. Been playing pretty decently, hope we can sign him, unless GFH have bigger fish on their minds? I expect a win, new owners, maybe a big crowd, should be a raucous affair, hopefully.

Someone was predicting a 24000 crowd. That's a pretty big crowd considering what we've had to put up with lately. We had 19k last weekend against Ipswich.

Apparently 3000 Boro fans today
I wonder if the stay- aways will turn up today....not done our club any favours whatsoever....I'm surprised GFH bothered with us in the end

Ashdown (lad needs a league start, I think he is class tbh)
Byram..Pearce..Tate..Drury
Thomas..Tonge..Green..Hall
........Diouf.....Becchio
Pelts needs a kick up the arse.
With what 64 said, we need to make a couple changes.
Lees should get a rest. Pearce + Tate will be magic.
Green is doing well and I think he can provide the defensive side we need in the middle, enabling the other three to get forward.
Would like to see Hall and Thomas go for gold at the same time.
Drury is an obvious choice. If he is fit, use him ffs.
Diouf needs to play more of a role like he did against Chelsea. Step back into the midfield, receive the ball and distribute.

Because he is a natural LB who is clearly better than every other LB/RB who attempts LB at the club??Leeds_Fan_Jed wrote:why do people say drury, he's absolutly dire..

Sorry but every time I 've seen him play he looks too slow and very unassured.
yes peltier doesn't look upto the job but neither have all the others who have played there, he's probably the best option we have there and we've won 4 out of the last 5 league games so no real emergency to change.
If I had to change I would probably choose white as at least he gives us something extra going forward (blistering pace.)

Quite the opposite. He looks very steady. Yes he may not be quick, but he has to technical ability of being a proper LB, which gives him the advantage of positioning himself properly to his opposite man. Pace isn't everything.Leeds_Fan_Jed wrote:Sorry but every time I 've seen him play he looks too slow and very unassured.

Peltier is useless at LB. doesn't matter if we win or not, he is a liability and when we concede he generally can be targeted as a reason. This isn't a good thing. So I would at her have a player who can actually play in the position, rather than cause trouble for our other players in needing to cover so much.
I would play white ahead of Peltier at LB and that is saying something.

Well we will have to agree to disagree :p. Anyways warnock agrees with me as he isn't playing him so that's good enough for me
