After a refreshing sixteen-day break, Leeds are finally back in action. They travel to Selhurst Park on Monday evening, home of Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace. A 94th minute Raphinha penalty separated the two sides when they last met at the beginning of December, and the Frenchman will be eager to even the score.

Leeds have been dealt a massive blow after hearing that midfielder Adam Forshaw fractured the kneecap in training (and it's all Bielsa's fault). The 30yo is expected to be sidelined for six weeks, which will rule him out for the rest of the season. But there is good news, Kalvin Phillips will be fit to play and will start alongside Klich.

Junior Firpo has overcome his knee injury, and is fit to make the bench. The 25yo was expected to miss the rest of the season having been stretchered off at Villa Park six weeks ago, but Rob Price and his team have been working around the clock to ensure a quicker than normal return to action.





Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic is unlikely to recover from tweaking his hamstring in the FA Cup Semi final defeat against Chelsea last Sunday. Nathan Ferguson will join his on the sidelines after aggravating a thigh injury.

Palace have lost three games on the spin, (Leicester City, Chelsea and Newcastle), and have slipped to 14th in the table, four points ahead of the Whites. Leeds fans will be hoping they don't fall foul of the London curse - Leeds have only won three games in the last 20 visits to London.

Dreading zaha against firpo
Even if it's the other wing , zaha is a menace when on form, what he don't like is been hit hard, so, hit him hard early on, get under his skin, his head goes, I like the way Vierra has set palace up, the way he uses the young ones, maybe thats down to brass, or lack of it, but everyone is getting an opportunity under PV.
Firpo needs to prove himself, and sharpish, done nothing, absolute nothing thus far, despite someone trying to convince us otherwise, "a great creative threat going forward"

Firpo needs more time to get used to the Premier League. He is a weak link in the back line and this could be a major problem
when the opposition has players that can hurt us in this area
Because this is an important game, I think Firpo should be on the bench and maybe introduced later on if needed.

This is Jesses biggest game so far.

Results have been ok three wins, two losses and a draw sees us above the relegation zone.
Football wise we have been pretty poor, scraping past Norwich, playing badly against Wolves with all those injuies happening until they imploded and imo giving SH way too much respect. Watford was ugly but we were clinical with Raph showing us his mettle and Rod showing his predatory skills to take full advantage of a defensive error then Harrison showing us what he can do when his mind is clear.

Palace have lots of flair throughout the side but they are also inconsistent. If Phillips can sit on Gallagher then we will have the opportunities to take at the other end. Pity about Forshaw as he is great at breaking up the play. They do owe us after the late late pen we won in the first game.

Re Firpo, yes he has found it tough but I think he will do better with 1 Cooper alongside him in the defensive line and 2 a second DFM screen being in place.( though who that will be is a mystery to me and please not Koch he gets lost in the game at times paying in midfield)

Also please remember that in like MBs system Marschs also expects the wing backs are expected to push up very high( though they opearte differently ) and that does leave huge gaps on wide on the wings, so please don't bash the wingback for being up the pitch doing what he is told. It is the weakness in the formations and patterns of play the boss uses. Simple as that.

I think full strength we are better than Palace but it will be tough for all the obvious reasons.

Re London we have did ok this season, Fulham we won on pens, Chelsea we robbed ourselves of a point Spurs we did the same.

That's what I would do. Let;s see how Firpo gets on under Marsch. I'd love to see Gelhardt start, though Marsch is likely to go for James, due to his speed, and the fact he tracks back. I'd drop Llorente, just because I haven't been impressed with him, and give his spot to Koch. I think Harrison has scored 3 in 4, so obviously can't drop him.
