Harrison has got some stick today. Undeserved in my opinion, as when he got the ball he basically passed it to the penalty spot, as I assume he has been told to do. With three CDs it's just not going to work.

The main thing to take from today is the solid defending. Build from the back, as George Graham would say.

If you add our starting attacking players it's a long blob just off the left all the way to the middle.

The right hand side basically totally ignored

In terms of touches in attacking areas

Aaronson attacking wise 80% were within width of 18 yard box

Gnonto bit more spread, a lot are central but quite a few are just off the left (not winger position more inside forward few yards off touchline)

Well that was about as drab as it gets, very tedious stuff from both sides.

Not sure if it was the early KO, the cold or just general mood but the atmosphere was pretty much non existent, without doubt the worst of the season so far.

Not often I’m pleased to hear the final whistle and head back to the car, but I was today.

I felt similar. total lack of intensity on our play and brentford were purely focused on a potential breakaway so there was a lack of passion on the pitch which transmitted to the crowd. this was a missed opportunity to gain 3 points and gain some momentum.

I’ve said this previously, but when I’m walking up the hill from the stadium back to the car, I think to myself was that a fair result, generally it is. Today, hand on heart, I don’t know the answer.

As you say, they came with a plan, we will take a point and if we score in the breakaway great. To be fair it worked, but christ it was boring.

I think it was a fair result. We had the bulk of the play. They defended well. We couldn't do enough to counter. In the context of how our respective seasons are going, 0-0 v Brentford is a good result. We just need to start picking up wins from somewhere though.

In their last 6 EPL matches Brentford can count wins against Liverpool and City and a draw against Spurs scoring 7 goals in the process (as well as wins against WH and Bournemouth).
So, the lack of praise for our much maligned defence is surprising. Nah, actually it’s not surprising at all.

We were the most positive in a battle of boredom.

No, even though we were the better team, we didn't create enough to win the game. Brentford came for a draw, hoping to nick all three points on the break. A draw was a fair result.

though our general performance was very good yesterday and dominated the game generally

but, as everyone has said, in the final third our chance creation was very poor and can't remember us creating a decent chance all game

looked solid at the back though

need to start converting some of these games into wins
