Probably the worst I've seen us play in years.... not even bad, just nothing. The whole thing looked like a lg one match mid winter with no one giving a f**k.

Ayling, comfortably our worst. He seems to have lost the plot, I said in midweek he was in fade but he's faded.

Both sides were poor and with Leeds threadbare up top a nil nil looked likely, that is until James fills in at the back.

It's early doors and Farke is still building for next year. We move on.

In the absence of new signings we desperately need Bamford, Harrison, Sinisterra, and Adams to get healthy. Without those 4 players we have no chance of doing anything this season.

That's 90 minutes i will never get back. That team looks like a team that scraped the League one playoffs instead of a PL team last season. Even if you gave Farke the benefit of the doubt in terms of age i still don't think that team will be good enough in 12 months time.

No Sini i'm presuming injured again. And after all the wingers we have had the best we could do is Shackleton. God awful performance.

Ampadu the best player on the pitch by a wide margin.

Other than that, and perhaps Archie's play, there is very little positive to take from today's effort.

I take a lot of positives, felt we were slightly the better side and created the better openings against a well seasoned championship side. It was only the last 10 minutes when we were poor. If we do lose the likes of Gnonto, Sini etc then it will at least give Farke some funds and judging by how well Ampadu has done I would be confident that he can make good signings.

Overall a poor game all around. It didn't look like either team were going to score except from a corner or a penalty. It is really obvious that we still need a striker and another player we can rely upon in midfield. I think we may have found our elusive left back though.
If we can get 2 or 3 good new players in (and some of the injured players back) then we may be OK but if those things don't happen we could also be in for a long long struggle again this season.
