Seems an odd hobby, cutting ties with Patrick Bamford.... I mean it's laudable, no one likes a tie, I'm just unclear why Paddy enjoys doing it and why he'd want to do it with any of us

https://worldfootballrumours.com/leeds- ... s-2022-23/

But if you are right and he is on 75,000 pounds per week, we should sell him.
You cant sell a player who is constantly injured on extortionate wages and is basically useless his confidence is shot to pieces I think he still as another three years on is current contract to run so it's going to be nigh on impossible to get rid of him unless he takes a wage cut or Leeds pay him off neither of which will happen

How often do you hear players like Messi that actually love the game is 'injured'? Salah is another, he wants to be playing football no matter what, and you know that when he says he's injured, he's injured, and i don't doubt it at all.

But players like PB ? - Do me a favour.

They are feckin weak Prima Donnas, that weak, that they miss penalties, weak in body, and weak of mind.
The pundits and the papers say.

"If City are to conjure up another victory against Young Boys, they may have to do it without Haaland who was taken off injured against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday. "

Bad news you think... then who goes and scores 2 against the Young Boys... Haaland.

I suppose that is what makes an exceptional stricker, the desire to be on the pitch and score goals.

When Patrick had his 17 goal English International purple patch he was motivated by a great manager and that is why he excelled.

We can see now that with Cooper and Ayling, Farke will have them on the bench and perhaps give them a short cameo, but the sense is that they are being slowly and gently phased out as befits faithful servants to the club, and I would like to think that Farke could inspire Patrick to have a glorious final swan song.

The problem has been relying on him as our only striker, which is why folk have got so frustrated with him. I don't think that's his fault, and we don't have to do that now.

His salary is high, but that's not his fault either. He scored 17 goals in the premier league, so that's the level he's capable of, and his salary reflects that.

Yes it’s all the rage now. It’s just £45 per person to spend a Saturday morning cutting ties with Patrick.
Of course Patrick will occasionally miss and cut off his own fingers but that’s part of the fun.

What a strange thing to do... I only hope they are not expensive silk Italian ties... that would seem a waste.

I very rarely believe the figures that are banded about in football, so I wouldn’t put big money on that being the case.

Unless it’s from the horses mouth, e.g David Gold said on live radio they had offered Declan Rice £200,000 per week, then it’s just rumours really.

An hell of a lot of money been wasted on players who can't cut the mustard anymore bamford 70 k a week cooper 35 k ayling firpo then we have the wasters who have gone out on loan
How many are going to come back without getting a contract
These are all issues that are holding the club back
Selling our better players every five minutes will just compound the problems long term
But the 49ers are sat there giving no indication where this club is going they certainly ain't splashed the cash yet
If gnonto is sold in January and a couple of loan deals come in the direction of this club is pretty obvious
End of the season if promotion ain't achieved Summerville and anybody else of value packs their bags for pastures new
The silence from the board is deafening I only hope I am wrong but the signs aint good in my opinion

Nobody right in there swede will take bamfraud off us for as much as £50,000 a week ne'er mind owt more, nobody, he'll stick it out, why wouldn't he, he only cut it in the PL behind closed doors, coincidence !!! we'll never know, but my mind is firmly in the lack of confidence in front of crowds brigade, it's why he's still proving folk like me correct, he shits it almost everytime in front of a crowd, law of averages says he'll score at some point, but how many games, how many minutes do you have to throw at him to achieve it, it's a double edged sword really, if we don't use him, it's a lot of wasted brass, if we do use him and he dosen't produce the goods, we are playing him for no good reason, and another player is being wasted waiting in the wings, like Gelhardt or Perkins or Matteo

Its time for PB to move on, not sure how long his contract is but at £70,000 a week we could get better for less money. If anyone come in
with a reasonable offer get him off the books now.
Firpo needs to improve his game in order to feature, does he have it in him, imo no. DF may use him if he is good enough, but for me its another player that isn't good enough even at Championship level

Kennyb41 wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 12:36 pm No, they're just my own thoughts, and probably unfair of me to judge him that way whilst knowing feck all about him or his 'injuries/knocks', my suspicions of him being a twat by cupping his ears to his own fans and thus downing tools to get them back could also be way out of order, like i said, it's just my cynical self at work.
Many would agree with you. If you miss chances, fans will get on your back, and when you're paid £300k a month, you should probably expect a bit of grief for missing sitters.

He was on 90k. I thought every players salary was cut by either 40% - 50% too.

he is a clever fella university educated , but he certainly knows how to earn money without putting too much effort in :)

he as played at forest , chelsea ,, loan to mk dons, , loan to derby , loan to middlesbrough , , loan to crystal palace,,, loan to norwich , loan to burnley , back to middlesbrough :-D

then he comes to leeds and we pay10 million for him most expensive signing since robbie fowler :)

he as had more clubs than jack nicklaus :) but leeds are well known as a club for giving players a retirement home, regardless of age or ability , thats the mentality down here , lets carry passengers and pretend we are still a big club :)

until that changes and we get owners that can smell the coffee , we will continue to be the great pretender as freddie mercury once sang :)

Good job he didn't lake for either Coleraine or Ballymena, the penalty shoot-out went to a massive 44 penalties, Coleraine eventually winning 18-17.
Bamfraud would have put a stop to any of that nonsense mind.
