He is generally tidy and workman like. He is priceless in a game like this - against a team with little ambition that sit deep we need an alternative who poses an offensive threat.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:26 pm Been doing the right things I think but not much of the game played in that area

That was my fear for this game. So pleased they’ve continued to play the way they have for for the past two season. Remind me us us under Marcelo.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:04 pm Ipswich would have been better served following the blueprint and just sitting back and catching us on the break.
Poor strategy by their coach, and played into our hands.
Ipswich becoming my 2nd favourite team, wish we could play them every week.

I missed the first 20 mins but since then he’s been everywhere in midfield, putting in a shift .

Brilliant performance and tactically spot on from Farke same as Leicester.
Spence and Rodon immense.
Summerville and Rutter having solid games.
Ampadu doing very well breaking up play.
Kamara bit quiet and Piroe struggling somewhat however as usual all be it playing a part.
James good and bad, exploiting the space well but having a lot of Dan James brain farts and now on a yellow.
But very good performance and tactically naive from McKenna have to say

So, er - we’ll take that then.
Archie, Jimmy, Piroe all doing their jobs well, and Amps & Kamara beating them in the middle. Just don’t take the foot off the pedal second 45.

I have Geo in there again .. Kamara was my MOTM last week.John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:26 pm It's getting a little tiresome writing Struijk, Rodon, and Summerville in one order or another in the MOTM poll. The three of them are just fantastic.
Summervillle
Struijk (By dint of the goal edges him ahead of Joe)
Geo
Rodon
Gray
for me at HT

I disagree with the comment you replied to also. you play to your strengths. Ipswich are not a defensive team. If they adopt that tactic they would not be where they are. If they go up with this team - they need better defensive options or they will find it very tough against most teams.Orange Box wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:30 pm That was my fear for this game. The more I think about this the more I agree. It's one thing to keep with a strategy that got you where you are, it's quite another to hold on to that strategy when it leaves Summerville free to roam.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:04 pm Ipswich would have been better served following the blueprint and just sitting back and catching us on the break.

I mentioned before they're the first team not to collapse on Summerville in a long time, and all he's done today is win and take the corner that led to the first goal and be instrumental in the other two.
Stick with what got you there, to be sure, but adapt at least a little bit to what the opponent can do to hurt you.

James finally finds Rutter and the passage of play ends up with Piroe nearly scoring
