Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread
i wanted 3 in midfield and DF changed formation. We were solid and get the draw that we wanted. A more attacking formation on Thursday will see us win. Hope DF changes a few players: Roberts for Firpo, Piroe for Rutter

You mean Roberts for Byram? Firpo’s been one of our best players this second half of the season and has been stellar locking up Jonny Rowe on every occasion we’ve faced Norwich.

Norwich will park the bus and try for a penalty shoot out !!WestgateRun wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 1:20 pm Normally, a 0-0 scoreline with the second leg at Elland Road would be an advantage to us.
But the team have crumbled under the pressure in the last two home games.

I can see it going to penalties which is what Norwich are likely to play for - we defo need a goal in the first fifteen minutes and then they can't park the bus.Scoobychief wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 4:01 pm I just get the feeling that it's nicely setup now for Norwich to nick it. All the pressure will be on Thursday night home crowd etc.. nerves will defo play into Norwich hands. Can see Norwich nicking it by the 1 goal

Firpo cannot defend just look at how many times Norwich switch play from one side of the pitch towards Firpo. He was always miles away from the attacker and Norwich 99% of the time put in a cross which Firpo is there to stop. Anyway DF will pick him

Firpo & Bamford are miles ahead in Leeds players who divide the forum. How can fans watch the same game but come away with totally conflicting opinions on how someone performed ?? Firpo will def play & as we need goals he will be better offensively than Byram. Going to be interesting to see how DF sets the team up after the good defensive performance we put in at Norwich, need to be far more attacking minded at home though and that is where Firpo comes unstuck

I think you will get more clubs doing that Swannie. And then going bust when they go back down. I would say follow the man citeh model if we had the money. Spend billions upon billions and that's just to sort the defence out. Or make a £200m statement signing like Neymar... when he went to psg.. What was that all about by the way??? The only consolation i take from the PL is listening to man u fans on talksport and watching them whine on YT.

I don't mind being a boing boing side tbf CW. Its like going to the casino and having a good night before you go on a 33 night losing streak.Clitheroe White wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 1:38 pm We probably do. Therefore it's only worth going up to get the money. Will be a turgid season with little to shout about. Then again...could surprise us all.

OK,so we parked the bus and got a draw both teams were really poor, I get why he put Rutter up front but we were never going to score the two chances were 1 offside and the other a possible penalty .I would put Joseph up front on Thursday start James cos we have got to get an early goal ,but who wants to go up and get smashed by 18 teams in the premiership the only reason is for money and is that what we want to become a yo yo team not for me thxs I have supported us since I was 12 and now 63 says it all .

Welcome to the PL none pleasure dome Johnsie. I would rather have some fun every other year (promotion) than become stagnant (midtable wannabes) going nowhere on the PL train. BUT... the rumour is the new owners have got big plans.......Johnsie123 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 5:15 pm OK,so we parked the bus and got a draw both teams were really poor, I get why he put Rutter up front but we were never going to score the two chances were 1 offside and the other a possible penalty .I would put Joseph up front on Thursday start James cos we have got to get an early goal ,but who wants to go up and get smashed by 18 teams in the premiership the only reason is for money and is that what we want to become a yo yo team not for me thxs I have supported us since I was 12 and now 63 says it all .
