I used to work as a maintenance engineer for a famous biscuit company and made great beer from out of date malt extract . If you can get a king keg it removes a lot of faff with bottles ,it has a float and a top of barrel tap so keeps the sediment out of your glass.
I have 3 kegs (2 x King Kegs and a Youngs) all with floats. Kegs may be less faff but I personally think IPA's/lagers are better bottled. I'll be kegging my bitter and my next stout

I read that city centre shops that have been closed are now targeted by weed growers. Even department stores. The obvious signs are:
1. Lights on at night
2. Taped up windows
3. Tents outside (too hot to sleep inside)
These are fairly obvious things to look out for if you’re a policeman.👮‍♂️

Easily missed if you're driving round at 80 all shift or on a break

How much £ outlay is there in setting up a decent brewing kit from scratch Victor ? Think it would be a perfect way to pass a long winter.

Quit work recently & decided to take up painting, a mate asked me to do one of Frank Zappa & it went from there.

Those are superb, Cussie. Do you sell these, have you an online presence or are they just for your own enjoyment?

I spent £150 but I bought 3 bucket fermenters (used), 3 (better) cylinder fermenters (used), 3 kegs (used) and new S30 valves for the CO2 and other new parts (stuff that you ought not to buy used). I have more kit than I need. I dare say you could get a keg and a fermenter for about £30/£40 used and maybe spend another £35/£45 on other bits (new) and cleaning stuff etc

It's a brilliant hobby! I have 2 IPA's: 1 ready for drinking now and one ready in 2-3 weeks plus I started a new Best Bitter last week and I just put a Pilsner in today. I have 2 other IPA kits ready to rock once I've gotten these 2 done...

Thanks, started out as a hobby about 5 months ago & went from there, have done a few for mates but kept the rest for myself. Starting to get plenty of interest and have run out of wall space so may have to start thinking about selling some. They’re time consuming so wouldn’t know where to start with pricing them, didn’t expect it to be an option.

When i was still at school, I had a CB radio and all that came with it, it was quite limited as it was the dawn of the FM radio and not the AM that was kind of illegal back then anyway I swapped it for a home brew kit, tons of the stuff came with it and I made some wine and poisoned all my mates and myself.

I am a graphic designer & Illustrator (music, merch and blue chip) by trade but I started to get in to tattooing about 10 years ago to push me out of my comfort zone, I now have my own studio, I have yet to infect anyone by cross contamination as I did with the wine, I still design and illustrate too.

I was thinking of getting back into home brewing during lock down but the mrs doesn't drink so lots would be chucked out.

I'll buy some of Victor's Brew, I might even design him some labels for his bottles ha ha.

I always wanted to learn to play the drums, ever since I saw 'Honey' drumming with the Honeycombs in the 60's. I'd never seen a lady drummer before so my mum and dad bought me a single drum with Ringo Starr's picture on it. I'd sit on the chair arm and drum away to 'Have I the Right' by the Honeycombs and 'Needles and Pins' by the Searchers. Working in the Middle East I was about to take up lessons, but the guy who was going to teach me got sent home. I do remember him telling me that you need to work out your feet before you learn with your drum sticks though.

Do you play professionally SG?
