But when we attack he's playing inside left, just leaves us totally exposed.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds Utd Match Thread
I'm reminded of a conversation my father had with the (American) football coach at the University of Connecticut. Somebody asked the coach whether he preferred bigger, slower, players or smaller, faster players. The coach said he preferred the faster players as speed gave him much more flexibility.
"What about bigger, faster players?" my father asked.
Said the coach: "We don't get those players here."

Bogle looks like a rabbit in the headlights when he's trying to defend.

We definitely have two formations. The 4231 is the basic. Then Ampadu drops into a back 3 in possession so the wing backs can get forward. We seem to get caught out when we turn the ball over.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 7:37 pm Do we have a pair of wing backs who can't defend or does Farke play a system that leaves them continually exposed?
Or a bit of both?

My problem with it is, particularly against Boro, we end up with two players high and wide each side, Ampadu dropping back leaving only one midfielder. We lose the ball and suddenly the oposition have the run on us and were scrambling to get back.

Very pleased to see Brendan Aaronson having a great game.
Well done young fella.
Wednesday are poor though.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Were they poor or were we very good. Bit of both or have we just pressurised them into playing like that.
The latter for me. As good a first half away from home as we have seen under DF.
