Missing decent chances effects the result. Put our chances away & we win the match.
Gnontos “miss” is fairly poor too tbh.
But the last 10 minutes is beyond poor.
No real urgency. I’d expect a big performance v Cardiff.

Gnonto should have buried that chance.

Team totally disjointed in the final twenty minutes.

Even with eight minutes added-on-time and Burnley down to ten men, we didn't get near their box, too busy passing that ball back to Meslier.

Why do we play with two number 6s?

I thought it was a wonderful thing to do for the family, a highly emotional moment and I wasn’t the only one near me with tears in his eyes.
Sad for the young boy & his family however, tributes should have been done just before the match.

What a shame we didn't sign Kieffer Moore for £2m, he would have given us something different.

Missing out on him to Ipswich hurt us last season, not having an alternative No.9 option could affect our promotion hopes again.

You only need one, playing two is negative.

1964white wrote: Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:12 pm Of course there are, Andrew.

We've gone into this season facing the same issues as last season.

Can't break down low blocks.

No, No.10 driving through the heart of the opposition's spine.

Miss glaring scoring opportunities.

Rarely score from as a set-piece, our goal per corner count is a complete joke.

Don't score from headers.

Complex & intricate football in tight areas that lead to nothing.

No competition for the No.9 position.

A keeper that make fewer saves than other goalies

Too much time wasted playing tippy-tappy passes in areas that are not going to hurt the opposition.
Sorry you attended that, Leon. There was definitely a lot of promise out there, but no end product. Very frustrating. Problem is, I suspect that you’re probably tired of “going to the theater and seeing the exact same play” on display. My hats off to you and the rest of those in attendance.

The game was stopped on the minute to match his age.

As you know, my wife and I have lost a child so perhaps I have some understanding of what the parents are going through.

I thought it was a lovely, touching moment personally.

It was a reminder of our all deficiencies of last season, the game turned into a farce after we had dominated Burnley in the first-half.

I understand your emotions, mate.

I may seem heartless, I dislike these type of stoppages during a game. Btw, I was applauding the young lad.

I didn't think the players sprinted back as quickly as they could have when Solomon slipped

They didn’t and it was left to Bogle to spot the danger which he did about 10 seconds too late

Strange how Bogle who is not a great defender, but we leave him as a one-man defence when we have a corner-kick.

Sounds like a plan thought up by Baldrick on Blackadder.

Also the pitch was ridiculous.

Grass was too long in areas
