I've praised him when he had two or three decent games, he scored some lovely goals.

I call him as I see him. Piroe goes missing far too often.

Last night felt like we were playing with ten men!

One nice flick & one decent pass is nowhere near enough you'd expect from your main striker.
It's so much more obvious when you're at the stadium as Piroe looks like he's running through quicksand over the first 5 yards. He's also incredibly static when playing as the main striker as well as not being physical enough to hold off big tough, grizzly centre halves.

Apparently though because he scored a shed load of goals for a team that always finished mid table he's a top class player who Farke should be building our whole side around.

About right given Farke wanted him and the club spent nearly a record Championship fee on him for Farke.

Serious question. Are you here just to try and cause trouble? You seem rather antaganistic. I ask that question in the nicest possible way of course.

Cjay wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2024 7:35 pm I think because Farke by his own admission played Piroe out of position almost his entire time here and Piroe cost a lot of money he's been labelled a flop.

So now no matter what he does he's that flop.

Every negative is amplified.

Every positive is begrudgingly.

And he doesn't run around lots and look busy which upsets the average English football fan.

Jaydog strikes me as more of a Werther's Original man tbh.
I think also what seems to count against him is that his eyes make him look like a weed junkie so a lot of people automatically, even subconsciously, think low intelligence. Like you have said previously he has been taught by some very good strikers and has a decent footballing IQ with often a sixth sense around the box of where the ball will find and also how to get himself into space at the right time (and no Jaydog I am not suggesting he goes to work for NASA).

No not at all, i was the one insulted, so i logged out.
My main intention here was to just nip in on matchdays, but i thought i'd join in.

That's how I generally see it.

I must be analysing him incorrectly.

I'll carefully scrutinise Piroe's movement when I'm at the Plymouth game, as you can't always see players movement off the ball on telly.

Farke has changed his system to try and accommodate Pro this season with Gnonto and Ramazani playing as a 3 pronged central attacking unit at times. Basically they are there to run into the channels as Piroe can't do it and then after driving in to the penalty area look for the unmarked Piroe in the box.

Surely this is what you've been looking for from Farke ?

Also though I'd hazard a guess that Joseph is now worth significantly more than what we paid for Piroe, which is a happy bonus for Farke as it gives him options to tweak the style as he sees fit.

These type of forums always have their mainstays who are wary of newbies for some reason. Makes me laugh as it's usually the most opinionated ones who are the first to jump on someone for having an opinion.

Seems to me that your clear and concise manner of posting is unsettling to some who are maybe used to going unchallenged, which should be a good thing as once they get over themselves and refrain from pushing back with insults as the forum will benefit from having differing views and opinions.

I have 10 times.. Struijk chips a ball out to Solomon who flicks a header on ..That is not "hoofing the ball out" rather playing the ball out...

Now just in case I'm going mad can someone else check that? The pass is completed imo

I'm not a huge fan of slagging off players, especially when there's zero basis. It's why, as per your original question, nobody else "mentioned it" It never happened

Newbies are welcomed.

But telling people they "make stuff up" and "pot, kettle'black" is sarcastic and antagonistic . . .

Simples.

It's possible my view is tainted by Kenny thinking my posts were from/by someone else.

Not exactly welcoming :)

CJAY it is all playground tit for tat stuff.

The status of a poster in terms of when they joined the forum is immaterial. It is all about opinion’s and they vary on a multitude of subjects.

We have had our historical spats. I am now accustomed to the nature of your posts, but from personal experience they are far more provocative to anyone uninitiated with your style and manner of assertions.

Just ordered a pair of these for you Cjay.

p.s. If you’re going to get in a lot of spats then you may as well wear some.
No need as Kenny would(ve) said.

You are correct, Faaip.

Pascal chipped the ball out to Soloman, who flicks on a header towards a Watford defender, he then directs his headed pass to one of his teammates, who heads the ball into the path of Baah, the big man out does Struijk with his pace, puts in a cross & then gifted the ball back to him to score a messy goal from our perspective.

My first thought when seeing he signs off as the King, didn't particularly enlighten me to him.
His posts just seem to confirm he doesn't like to be challenged, and what he says goes.
I did myself feel quite antagonised by him insulting me as a gobby boring newbie, but just logged off only to find someone accusing me whilst not challenging him.
Like i earlier said, perhaps you have to earn stripes here in time, but this place does have the feel of 'Lord of the flies'.
Not something that troubles me.

I would appreciate it if you could post a view of that.
I've only seen it the once live, it was my instant thought..."did Pascal have to hoof that out which led to it coming straight back in and consequently their goal"
No worries if you can't.
