Is it possible that Rutter is surrounded (in theory) by better quality players and therefore looks better. Of course he is up against better quality but some players usually those with touch of class improve when they do. Rutter was likely to be that type.

When in Germany he was said to have all the talent in the world but needed polishing.

Tried tricks in the wrong places, was too keen to be a one man wrecking crew, held onto the ball when he should pass, tried the difficult when the simple would do and his finishing needed work.

In the Championship he still did all those things, but he was so much better than the vast majority of his opponents it worked.

Giving him confidence is to Farke's credit but did he make him a better player? Not really, I don't expect to hear Georgie say that in future years but I'd expect he'd credit him with having faith etc.

I'm sure better players helps him, more intelligent etc.

But you can tell watching him he maybe feels less responsible, here at times we were so reliant on him maybe he felt he needed to do it all?

It isn't the same at Brighton, he sees less of the ball, he doesn't roam as much looking for the ball, he sticks to the same area of the pitch.

That's coaching tactics etc.

Sky are the biggest bunch of liars going. How do they know that anyway.
I dont like them. I actually like an evening kick off as I can sit with beer & food and enjoy.
But if I was a regular attendee then nothing before 3pm & nothing after 5.30pm as they must both be a massive pain in the butt.

That is basically agreeing with what I’ve said.
I dont doubt for a second that Rutter although a team player looked around our dressing room and thought “I am different level to this lot”.
Now as you say he has quality around him and doesn’t feel so responsible. Is that coaching or circumstances.

It’s a horrible time for a match even a 5.30 would be better. Having a 12.30 game gives Sky the opportunity to shove 3 games into a Saturday 12.30, 5.30 & sometimes an 8pm as well. Pub owners are probably the only ones happy to see them.

Don't think Georgie improved at all under Farke.

He was always a cut above Championship level you could see that in his Bundesliga record.

What Farke did was give him confidence, show faith etc.

But don't think he made him a better player, he still had the same issues he had in Germany.

Brighton manager is though, he takes fewer risks, doesn't drop so deep into areas where he could lose the ball, and he is taking better care with his pass.

I believe Georginio himself would credit Farke for resurrecting his career, instilling confidence & giving him the opportunity to improve his skills, after his uneasy start at Leeds.

It could also have been the 3 mile from the pitch camera but there was virtually no atmosphere at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City fans are not recognised for creating an atmosphere.

The majority of Leeds fans awoke at 4am to 5am in order to make their long journey, Not much booze prior to the game. Leeds fans bored & frustrated with our play.

No surprise the atmosphere was dead!!!

Lack of rotation with midweek games probably doesn't help. But what time are we getting to the games? I presume yesterday would've been Friday night due to the distance.

I’ve mentioned previously that the 12.30 KO’s prevent most fans from the ability to wet their whistle (I still manage it, albeit rushed ) which has a knock on effect of fans singing etc.

Until fans protest in concerted and organised manner against things they don't like nothing will ever change.

Won't ever happen as fans love their clubs too much, which unfortunately Sky know all too well and so they do exactly as they please. They don't care about supporters and never have done. The EFL are highly culpable in all the early KO as well, which shows they don't give a toss either as we've gone from one early KO a week to three without any fan consultations whatsoever.

I was up in town watching our local Isthmian League team and there is always a good vibe going as most people are having a few pints whilst watching or not watching as is often the case.

I've been to Ashton Gate several times & they are never noisy, as is the case with the majority of the championship clubs.

They don't give a hoot Leon. The hardcore fans are the furthest from their minds. It's about time something was done about us always being the 12.30 kick off when on SKY....unless its Friday night after internationals of course which is worse!

The match going fan was deserted by SKY, and the relevant authorities, several years ago Jammy.

All the authorities are interested in is the money received from SKY, and all SKY are interested in is higher viewing figures meaning more advertising revenue.

As with most things, the match going fan has to just put up with it, as collective and mass protest simply won’t happen.
