It was a suspicion I had at the beginning of the match, but this first half confirmed things. Think Farke got the lineup entirely wrong today. Don’t understand why Solomon was taken off in favor of James. Aaronson has been overdue for a sit (could’ve played Solomon or Willy here) And Piroe was always has a poor game following a good game. With all the running he did last game, a quiet showing was inevitable.
Brendan Aaronson and Joel Piroe off at HT for me…replaced by Solomon and Joseph.
And if Tanaka and Firpo are going to still struggle, Gialavogi and Wober on for them.
My two cents…
Solomon has been under a pretty big game load after returning from injury and needs rotation unfortunately due to his injury record but get what you mean.... Ideally Gnonto doesn't start for me.....
I disagree with Tanaka..... It is formation. They have two players against him and have overloaded centrally. Its what most sides who do well against us do. Make things scrappy and crowd us out centrally forcing us out wide into crosses.
We are one of the worst sides for crossing efficiency due to height/physicality of our attacking line up (just not their strong suit.

I think we’ve benefitted tremendously with Brendan in the lineup. He’s kind of our Energizer Bunny. He just looks tired by his standard. No battery life left with that bunny…
interesting, i think he offers nothing! he's not fast, not particularly skilful, not strong and not a particularly good passer etc. - hopefully he proves me wrong but I really don't rate him as a player

Might be right with Tanaka. Was going to chalk this up to him being tired more than anything. He hasn’t been subbed since became a starter.

Brendan is fast. Maybe slower than Ramazani and James, but he’s definitely not slow. He’s solved the physicality problem for the most part. Wind gusts would literally him over when we were in the Premier League.
I think his biggest problems are his inconsistency and decision-making which can manifest in the areas you’ve pointed out as shortcomings. But if he can keep improving on his decision-making and be more consistent, you won’t find issues in those other areas…and you’ll find a dynamite player.
**this coming from a huge Brendan critic, btw!
