I don't think Doak is better than Joffy. Joffy can play like that if he got game time week in week out

He's a really talented kid tbf, he's created more chances than Gnonto in less minutes and has a better goal involvement ratio. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:10 pm Think Doak is over rated
Piroe seems to be a super sub, does better v tiring teams
Wober did really well.
Disagree on Piroe, he's more intelligent than Joseph, tired legs is irrelevant.

Doak was frightening against Burnley. The fact that he looked average tonight was down to Wober and Pascal. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:10 pm Think Doak is over rated

Disagree with that, I like both tbf. Both are startable but I don't think Joseph is experienced enough to be effective off the bench.. Played well today Joseph

Great win and ER now becoming a graveyard for visiting teams.

Joseph's ceiling is higher than Piroe's who's likely at his peak as a championship forward

He did Swany.
I'm NOT his biggest fan to say the least. But credit where it's due.

I've seen it all before, there's going to be a burnout coming, he's running the players into the ground just like Bielsa. He relies too much on flair players like Dan James and Ao Tanaka. Meslier is a liability get rid. Playing the same old boring football he played with Norwich. Sack Farke he's no good. Top of the league... phfft... it won't last.
I was missing a bit of negativity. I suppose if you reverse everything I have said then you will know how i really feel.

Thought Joseph was a complete non factor myself. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:19 pm Disagree with that, I like both tbf. Both are startable but I don't think Joseph is experienced enough to be effective off the bench.. Played well today Joseph
Never held the ball up, wasn't involved on the game I don't think.
Worst player for us today imo.
Not my Piroe bias either I genuinely felt he was at best ineffective and at worst really crap.

You know, that will be interesting to follow. So far, Mateo appears to breeze International U21s but fails to score in men’s football at sub-Premier level. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:20 pm Joseph's ceiling is higher than Piroe's who's likely at his peak as a championship forward
Piroe is proven at Championship level, has he had an International career?

Completely agree, if Piroe put in that performance, he'd have been slated. All Joseph seems to do is foul and give the ball away. He has potential, but is far away from being starting striker.

Re: Leeds Utd v Middlesbrough Match Thread
Thought Joseph was poor today where it really mattered. Crosses came in but he was always on the other side of the defender and as such relying on the ball having to be absolutely perfect so that the defender can't get it but it would fall for him. He needed to be able to look like he was going to be on the other side but then stop and move so as to get in front of the defender. Harry Kane is a prime example of a striker who knows how to fool a defenderand get to the cross first.
Really disappointed in Joseph this season. Looked like there was going to be a really good player there that also had a striker's instinct and would get plenty of goals.
Thought Aaronsen had a great game although once again he looked like a deer in the headlights when he got time on the ball and just doesn't seem to have good instincts or is stopping himself from playing instinctively. Glad he got his goal and just hoping that in time his end product improves.

So you weren't missing negativity and if we keep everything that you said (reverse the reversing) that is how you feel.Sean_Nile wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:31 pm I've seen it all before, there's going to be a burnout coming, he's running the players into the ground just like Bielsa. He's the new Bamford, works hard, runs a lot but his actual hold up play is pretty poor.
He gives the impression of a proper number 9 without being one.
Tbf to him it's probably too early in his career to be relied upon but as you say Piroe gets hammered for the performance Joseph put in today
Not the first time either.

The glaring example of Joseph currently lacking something is the James cross. It’s literally right in front of him. He should be getting on the end of that if he’s an instinctive striker.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.
