I don’t think we’d have picked up the 3 points if Farke had left Joseph on, and Piroe has definitely cemented his starting berth for me.

DJ remains our best on the right, while Willy/Solomon/ Ramazani contest the left - with Solomon in pole position atm.

Aaronsen good for championship level, not great, but bought as a premier league player. Two and a half years later and yet to be convinced that he can make that step up. Don't think there be much of a queue, yet, to buy him for the money we paid for him.

Yes and the point I made earlier is that the rotation in the last 2 games to the starting line up is building confidence in players and how they combine together.
I think I'm right in saying we have the smallest squad in the league?

It shows that it's arguably better to have a smaller squad, all of whom can start with confidence, than a large squad with half of them wearing their shorts out on the bench.

Nice to have the cup game coming too where even more of this can happen.

Right now the only weak point in the squad is Joseph. He hasn't been the same player since he came back from international duty. U21 a very different story to the Championship and he doesn't seem to have any answers, right now.
Maybe a loan period would be good for maturity.

If you look back though, a case can be made that Marsh's style is what made players like Aaronson so twitchy in front of goal.
He's a different player under Farke.

He'll be OK in the PL, but not as a starter.

Lord Bamford is the only leg you have left to stand on, all your other arguments have gone up in a puff of smoke, as the mist disappears in the noon day sun, as the ice melts into a shapeless puddle so has all of your analysis proved to be wrong.

Come on over to the light side leave the dark behind, you can rehabilitate yourself by exhaulting Piroe, you can redefine yourself by analysing the Aaronson/Piroe partnership. You can boast about midfield duos, or rock solid defence, or clean sheets kept by Spiderboy, or exciting wingback/winger combinations.

The world is your oyster, step into the light... and apply your talent... who knows Lord Bamford might bless you with a goal.

Sorry Faaip, you defend him endlessly on here but he’s just not cutting the mustard.

Not scoring when he’s given starts against lesser teams, it’s not acceptable for a Leeds United striker irrespective of his relative youth.

It could have gone either way with a fluke or moment of brilliance Leon, so I’m glad we shaded it.

We controlled for long periods but seldom looked like scoring. Subs definitely changed the game.

And a great goal, Aaronson is deadly from 5 yards but sh*te from 8. He’s a great asset generally at this level though.

Nah, it was a typical scrappy away game. We missed some good chances, but felt it could've gone either away until the subs changed the game. Thought they'd nick a goal from the corner, so a great hand from Mes to keep it out.

I didn't think Ampadu and Tanaka worked, Tanaka not used to playing further forward. Sure he'll adjust, but we may see Rothwell back next game. Also Solomon and James are two of our form players, dropping both of them cost us some sharpness and final ball quality.

We looked great in the first half except for that pesky little thing about putting the ball in the net. Second half we saw a lot less of the ball and things did indeed get scrappy. The subs made a huge difference. They put us back in control. Even when things got scrappy, though, Tanaka, Ampadu, Rodon, and Struijk remained rock solid. Derby's only shot on goal came from a corner; they got absolutely nothing from open play.

All in all, a very good performance away from home against an in-form (albeit inferior) side. This has been a good week.
