That would be the only reason I could see for keeping Meslier in goal.

He didn't, not with a comment like that.
You wouldn't make a good lawyer. Always wriggle room especially given how he talked not only about Meslier's mistakes but on eor two other poor goals conceded. I see no reason why Farke couldn't simply say something along the lines of 'resting him while we build his confidence back up but we still have complete faith in him.'

How is "it would be a sign of madness thinking about making a change" leaving any wiggle room :)

I'm absolutely convinced Mes starts vs Wendies bar an injury.

I suppose a mysterious injury would give DF his get out of jail card.

I parked in the car park next to the peacock today, as I promised the Mrs I’d get home early. I was meeting my mates in the pub at the top of Wesley Street.

Unbelievably, the paths had not been gritted, absolute madness 😳😳😳

Well, that was awful.

Soloman head & shoulders above the rest, who were distinctly average.

A win is a win.

Thank god Harrogate didn't equalise as I'm unsure I could have endured another half-hour of extra-time in -3 freezing temperatures.

Finally back at the hotel, after the game and then Almost Famous after. Was a typical Leeds game, struggle to break down a well organised side and missing too many chances. Credit to Harrogate, they did make it tough for us when they started attacking in the second half. Please to see Rama back on the scoresheet and Solomon was a class above. Thought Big Josh played well too, good to see him do 90 mins. Sad that Joffy was nowhere to be seen and would've been good to see a young player get a run out. The programme had Debayo on the cover and yet he didn't make the squad.

Today just showed we really need a 9. Joseph unfortunately just isn't good enough at the moment and has no confidence in front of goal, he should've buried that chance in the first half. Was desperate for him to get a goal today to restore his confidence.

Glad to get the win and would like a PL club in the next round to see where we are atm. Liverpool away would be good.

I feel sorry for many of our fans who have only witnessed the Boro' defeat & that feeble show in the cups, many kids there tonight.

I know very well where we are at now without the prospect of playing a top PL team. I'd expect nothing more than a thrashing. :(

The coach park to the kop turnstiles were treacherous mate.

White Riot wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 8:03 pm Flapped at one corner and kicked the ball to one of their forwards but got away with it. Looked okay, but won't get a chance once the groundsman has thrown a bucket of cold water over Farke and Meslier

Schmidt looked decent 👌

Gilly played in the back four and looked like a ponderous liability.

It was a plodding victory. We don't move the ball quickly enough and decisively.

Credit to Harrogate, they played a low block and battled for everything, very plucky performance.

It was coldest I've been at a Leeds game in a long time. I was glad to get back on the coach to enjoy a coffee.

I honestly didn’t feel it once in the stands. You’re obviously higher up than me in the stands, so felt it more.

Good to see you again mate 👍

Seemed pointless bringing in Darlow just for today. What point is it going to prove? Mes will be in v the wendies, if Farke wanted to support him, he should've played him today.

At least we witnessed a keeper catching the ball, made a couple of saves too.

Back to chaos next Sunday.

It is, because for the size of him he can't do anything else, as fans we are all worried every single time there's a corner against us.
