Archie isn’t a RB, the chances are we would have still signed Bogle. The player we are unlikely to have got in is Rothwell as Archiewould have been able to play in his preferred position. There is no positive to be had from losing Archie except from a PSR perspective. He has been one of the best players for Spurs this season in the PREM. Not sure what your self congratulatory point is ?andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 5:04 am It's amazing that Ayling is still playing a key role for a top championship club. He's nowhere near as good as our last 3 right backs (Gray, Roberts, Bogle)
I had no doubts over Bogle at the start of the season. Could see he was a quality player. But he did need some time to blend in - decision making has greatly improved since the early weeks. I think he's a shoe in for our premier league squad.
I wasn't particularly happy with Drameh leaving. I want to see our young players progress. But I'm happier to have Bogle and Byram as options.
And I did say at the start of the season that while Archie would be great for our long term future, we had a better chance of getting promoted with Bogle at right back.

Indeed!
I think I’ve failed (again) within sport in general to not let the past, even the very recent past affect my judgment in the future.
Certainly in golf modern players are very adept at shrugging off disappointments and across most sports players work as hard on the mental side as on the physical.

Many have said and I tend to agree that Archie whist a brilliant prospect wasn't necessarily what we needed this season. Also if I remember correctly he started last season in midfield alongside Ampedu and our results/performances were average at that time. Guess what I'm saying is we haven't missed him.DDB220 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:20 am Archie isn’t a RB, the chances are we would have still signed Bogle. That's over twice as many pages than our match day thread.

Also posted this last night.
With the quality we possess, we were too good for them, as we are in the majority of our games.
We are a cut above the rest of the championship teams.
Sunderland fans more or less on the same wavelength.
Can't believe some of our fan base don't share the same faith in this current Leeds team.

Probably more likely that we wouldn't have signed Tanaka if we had kept Gray. The Rothwell deal was a no brainer, year's loan for a player who knows the division.DDB220 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:20 am Archie isn’t a RB, the chances are we would have still signed Bogle.
