SU and Sunderland games we dominated after the twenty or so. Pushing them back deeper and deeper and goals were always likely. Worthy winners of both those. WBA we started to look really leggy and sat back more. Today several players looked tired and rotation is needed but not wholesale rotation

I'd like to see Rama and Gnonto given more of a chance now, we know they are good enough they have just barely played for months, rusty.

I was applauding Farke before Christmas over the number of times he rotated the wingers and gave Joseph an occasional start. As well as Byram. But since Christmas he's just gone back into rigid mode again.

In his case yes. He is terrible as an advanced playmaker.

Can't read the game, is scared of the ball, makes poor choices, can't create space. Can't take a corner, FC, shoot.

As of March 9, 2025, Brenden Aaronson has made 35 league appearances for Leeds United in the 2024–25 EFL Championship season, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists.

Aaronson has notably contributed to match-winning goals this season. On December 29, 2024, he scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Derby County at Pride Park, keeping Leeds United at the top of the Championship table. If he hadn't scored that would be 3 ponts less.

Earlier, on August 23, 2024, he netted the winning goal in a 2-0 away win against Sheffield Wednesday, marking his second goal of the campaign.

These contributions have been instrumental in Leeds United's promotion push this season.

It’s the lack of effort and performance rather than the score. We should be 2 up, its all so lacklustre

Even though we were denied a certain penalty & we lost the game, it's the performance that pains me.

We played like a Sunday league team. We are still top of the league, however more feeble displays in that vein & our automatic promotion hopes will soon evaporate. I think today proved we couldn't cope with the quality of the Premier League.

The defeat serves them right for being so casual & lapse.

No I dont agree, you make the error of believing that if Aaronson hadn't make those contributions then no one else would. Its not a sif we would be playing with 10 men. ( although today was a good example of is doing so) Early in the season he had to be told by Farke to stop getting in the way of our attacks on the left hand side.

Over this season he has been week in week out our weakest player. As an advanced MF player he rarely makes a stamp on the game as these type of players should.

Today was yet another example of him hiding in clean sight.

While all of our players have an off day he rarely has an on day.

Use you eyes and you see a player entirely out of his depth for the pace, and physicallity of English Football.

The lad is afraid of the ball. He is unable to hold onto it. He cant cross, shoot or pick a pass with sufficient success rate to warrant the minutes he has, and its not as if he is tired or off form, he has never been good enough.

And is 7 goals ok in a side like ours who will get close to 90 goals this season, is it really something to be proud of?

And finally he is joint 10th in assists for us.

Rothwell or Rama would be better in there imo

I’ve gone from despair to where - there’s too much football still to come to spend the remaining weeks of the season stressing. Get Elland Road bouncing on Wednesday and give the team some belief, worst thing is having 35000 pensive fans sat watching on.

We didn't perform that well but we did create enough chances to have won the game. Today was that day when they don't go in.
So I'm disappointed but not demoralized.
Let's hope we get back on track and keep ourselves in the top two

I hope Farke isn't pampering to their whims, they all need a good kick up the backside.

If 2,000 fans are prepared to lose a night's sleep to watch LUFC, with many booking accommodation & travelling down yesterday, the least our expensive squad can do is put in a professional performance as opposed to something we could watch from a pub team on a Sunday morning.
