I disagree, my friend. Supporters' worry and concern can come across as nervous energy, certainly on the terraces. The ER crowd is infamous for those lengthy strained silences which can, and do, affect those on the field. Look at how relaxed the team was when we played in front of 30,000 cardboard cutouts. Even Bamford looked good.

Yes but no but if silence has an effect on the players... then cardboard cutouts would provide the maximum silence.

I suspect that Burnley will win the league, and then it will be between us and the Blunts....

Burnley are now just 2 points and a 10 goal difference away from the summit and the bookies reduce them to 7.5 as outright winners. Burnley look like they are ready for the Frankel finish.

The Leeds front line had better take their chances sooner, rather than later and the defence needs to organise better than they did today.

In the last 6 games our fabled attacking line has only scored one goal and that was Piroe in stoppage time at Sheff Utd.

I normally dislike the international breaks which are rarely kind to us in terms of injuries, travel and a poor performance first game back.

This time I sort of welcome the break and hope for a reset. We go into it top of the league. We have a decent fixture list.
Burnley and Blunts have to play each other which is worth a minimum of 2 points to us over one of them.
Squeaky bum time. You’ve got to love it.

Interesting insight from Herr Farke in the press conference.

If he had played Gruev ( which he regrets) he would have used Wee Willy as the AMF

Makes a bit of sense I suppose and opens up the idea that he has already been thinking of using Wee Willy in that role.

You can have players who are as talented as you like - however if some are jaded mentally and physically in the last few games of a season, then that becomes the overriding factor, which you have not even mentioned.

An example of this at the moment is James - lots of talent, however he has looked shot mentally and physically for several games now.

Yet we ran all our starters close to 90 minutes on Wednesday. Then roll out exactly the same starting line up two and half days later.

Farke said afterwards that it might have been different if he'd started Gruev and Gnonto. Well that's great to hear - after the game.

Belated watch. Just into second half.

Strange 1st half. We dominated it.

One awful period (about 1-2 minutes) of iffy defending that lead to their first goal. Second goal came from nowhere. We were controlling the whole 1st half. But we were just awful in defence. Starting to believe that the only reason we're so dominant defensively is because we're so good in attack.

And the refs just let so much s**t housery go at this level. So many players go unpunished. Fouls not called for shirt pulling and pulling players over. Yellow cards not given for blatant late boots or knees going in. I admit that we get away with some stuff too. But because we're less physical and more of a footballing side, the bulk of the decisions go against us.

On a similar note our first goal was certainly offside. The QPR defender had to put a boot in because Bogle was behind him (offside but deemed not to be interfering with play)

Awful reffing again. First half he allowed all their fouling and off the ball type stuff. Second half when we were trying to mix it and also trying to make the game flow and he seemed to constantly blow up for free kicks to them for innocuos stuff.

All that stuff really makes it impossible for us to impose our game onto the opposition.
