But they still shouldn't be making no impact vs children let's be fair.

It can only get better (hopefully)
I do agree, we should be doing better, but I've seen it all before, you can rely on Leeds for a cup upset.

Didn't we win something last season, SG?

Daniels interview above is all true.

It was excellent minutes for them on their way to getting up to speed, that speed can't come fast enough for me.
I feel we nearly had a team last year to compete with the bottom 6, the jury is still out on that and it's a close call.

The jury is also still out on whether our new signings integrate well enough to make us that stronger team needed to survive.
The jury is also still out for me on whether Farke's game will be good enough to take on and beat the worst of the Prem with these new additions, after 10 games we should know where we stand barring a shitstorm of bad luck like Tanaka, Ampadu carrying on after every game.

I blame Jayden Bogle, had he not scored, I could have gone to bed earlier.

Just expect even half motivated supposed Premier league players to run rings around some academy kids.

Was an opportunity to show what they could do in easy circumstances and nothing.
You said that you “had” hope for them, implying your hope is now gone. Id question that comment anyway given you’ve been nothing but disparaging about most of the signings thus far. Of course you are more than welcome to any opinion, I’m not particularly enamoured by our signings either.

What may have seemed like easy circumstances to anyone who puts facts and statistics above all else was anything but. We had a side out who hadn’t played together, a few whose first game it was in English football, playing in a largely empty stadium vs a side operating on pure emotion, who likely had a frigging war cry invoking Pedersons Viking forefathers from Valhalla before exiting the changing rooms, they said after the game it was massive for them when to Leeds it was an inconvenience at best - yes we should of had the quality to make it an easy game but you could say that of many David vs Goliath cup games up and down the land - sometimes belief, motivation and emotion trump quality.

Brenden's girlfriend Milana D'Ambra was in the Leeds end last night, she left as soon as her sweetheart was substituted.

You could also say it is the job of the manager to motivate and inspire his players to be up for a game like the Wendies manager did.

Most of them looked half asleep and spent much of the game passing backwards to keep possession (definitely Farke instructions).

Farke is not accountable for the missed one on one chances & those horrific penalties.
But he was accountable for the team selected (tired thinking,) the tactics, (we were way to cautious,) and the in game management (let the game drift too long). Plus he had a hand in our transfer policy

If a manager is not responsible for results then no manager should ever get the sack and they all great.

Lets say this again we lost to an U21 team, basically, of a team in termoil, who are at the bottom of a division below

Would our 21's have beaten the West Ham first team squad last season?

Cjay wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 9:16 am Also it isn't all about tactics

Players may not care much about Cup games but Farke is paid to motivate them, inspire them, get them up for it.

He didn't even manage that.

He didn't miss the pens, but a lack of ideas, movement, stuff like that is on him.

They should be desperate to impress and inspired, they werent
He is a useless manager way out of his depth as I said last season should have got rid then ,cos you can't tell me he has no input on transfers ,and don't start about motivation I don't think he knows the word all he done last night was shake his head and bite his nails get gone now before it's to late .

Not a major trophy and you need to relegated to be in the Championship, so not exactly being successful.

Depends what who we are trying to recruit. There is always the hope that potential attacking players will feel confident that they can break into the match day squad. EPL is a shop window for future careers.

"You can't sack a manager 5 games into the season " Bournemouth did and stayed up  Also how long are we meant to give him? Until he destroys the GD, the confidence and we're miles adrift that it would be pointless sacking him? We need to give us the best possible chance of staying up.

Not on waccoe, but can imagine the mood has changed.

We haven't won a major trophy since 1992 & we wouldn't have won a domestic trophy this season, far too early to even think we are going to win honours this or next season to be honest.

You can't blame Farke for our lack of trophies.

Chalk and cheese. Last season we had the best squad in the division, this year we have maybe the 19th or 20th best squad in the division as it stands. We were poor a lot last season and still made 100 points (we should have set records really, but didn't). We could hardly fail really.

No it's the attitude that the cups don't matter which wrangles me. We should be taking them seriously, especially after we just got beat 5-0.

Exactly, trying to compare it to last season is delusional.

He’s offered zero on how he intends to remedy things (unless he did so in the last 30 seconds of his interview, I couldn’t bear to watch anymore).
