I have to guess that Gnonto wasn't 100%. He played well in his previous starts. And nothing would suggest him dropping down to being our 5th choice winger today. And same on James - not 100%JoeDenver wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 5:27 pm Missed the end of the first half and the bulk of the second half (daughter’s football match ended). But judging by the half of the match I witnessed and the comments of others, the lack of production in the final third was the difference.
This was known prior to the match. As an American, I root for Aaronson, but I don’t blind myself into thinking he’s worth a start at this level, either. Margins are extremely fine at this level, so why did we start Aarsonson over Gnonto? Especially given the chemistry between Gnonto and Bogle? I’m extremely puzzled by this decision.
Without question, the board limited Farke’s options in the final third, but that decision didn’t do him any favors. Has a bit of a “cut off your nose to spite your face” aspect to it.
How'd your daughter's team get on?
