Great win but terrible for the nerves. We went into a low block way too early for my liking and invited waves of pressure. Just as well that Wet Spam are finding wins hard to come by as better teams would have got at least another goal.

Some good performances though, with Aaronson, DCL, Okafor (for his half), Rodon, and Ampadu having good games in the large. I liked seeing Perri in goal and his save (late to see it) from Bowen in the first half and the awareness to clear the rebound was good goalkeeping.

Great start to the weekend.

Agree! Think we should have continued to attack and not let them have a moment of peace. We could have won that game 3-0 and made up some goal difference.

I didn't get to watch even though I have UK Sky in Canada as I had to fetch my wife from work in Ottawa (50 minute drive each way). So, why did Okafor go off after 46 minutes?

Rested I would think as job basically done, he wasn't fully fit coming in

Not sure he's 100% fit Victor. He looked like he got tired and needed to come off. Not sure if that's fitness, or if he is still carrying a knock.

Its not nonsense because its a data point that can be used to measure decisions against.
Of course its not an absolute, but its better than total subjectivity in making decisions.

Management and the team have an indication as to where they stand at this key point in the season.

Its actually more of an indicator than those on this forum setting their hair on fire because the 3 promoted teams all went back down in the last 3 seasons.
If any had achieved 11 points after their first 10 games, its likely the outcome wouldve been different for some :duno:

All you can look at is trends and where you stand relative to them - especially as its our first year back. Its far less of a nonsense number than using stats from last season.

Its a predictor that has stood up pretty well over a number of years.
I for one will check it off as one objective achieved. I've no doubt the manager has this one and a few others on his performance dashboard.

We need to keep deploying Fortress Elland Road and then steal a few away and we should be fine.

Would like to see an incoming on form goalscorer in January.
We have one on the bench we should use more often. Might even save us a few bob.

Great start to the weekend.

Starting the second half with a a new wide partnership in JH and Justin basically scuppered our outlet on one side of the pitch while had his Bogle hands full on the other side.
The middle three were immense filling in the gaps as they probed and passed.
And despite all their possession they created nothing until the 90th minute.

We did what we needed to do.

It's an incomplete data point as we don't know which 11 games against which teams the previous successes or failures were. We've played mostly bottom half teams, was that the same for the other teams?

I endured enough stress in the second-half to last me the weekend.

Three hard earn't points.

We've forgotten how to keep clean sheets, somehow we concede goals when we are not even under severe pressure.

Another goal from a cross into our box, no one near Fernandes, without seeing it again, I think it was Bijol this time, not tight enough to his marker. We got away with a free-header in the first-half, Soucek I think.

Thank god, the referee only added on four minutes.

We require one victory a month to remain in the Premier League.

Everton (August)
Wolves (September)
West Ham (October)

Good so far!

December will be the most difficult month.

Well thats why the longer the stat holds, the more reliable the data point as you eliminate outliers.
No team in the last 10 seasons who had 11 from the first 10 games got relegated. The rules of probability say the more tosses of the coin, the more reliable the number. Interestingly, if you have 10 from the first 10 games, you are far less safe.
Last season Leicester had 10 from 10 and went down. Wolves had 3, but stayed up.

Virutally every data point is "incomplete" because were tying to forecast the future. Doesnt mean its not useful in planning - as I said previously.
