I had someone sit next to me who was in a call to someone on loud speaker whilst shouting into her phone. This really grinds on me so I started coughing and spluttering and she moved somewhere else, whilst shouting Really! Really !

Looking forward to the game tonight - no real expectation result wise which has a rather calming personal effect. I am more concerned about what happens afterwards, it is far more likely to generate a big negative drama.

Personally, the sack Farke bus left the station a few weeks ago. I would prefer they stuck with him rather than changing him for O’Neil. Whilst it may work out, my gut feeling is that it will be a disaster.

What is with this club and the inability of having an ownership that has any sense of a long term strategy that actually works.
Imo,don't think oneill is the guy for us,he ain't going to save us.

Near the top of the pile, creative, flashy, full of flair, with a spine of hard edgy players. Should win nearly every game.

But away from home, you never know which French team will turn up.
Let’s hope the “allez les bleus” have one of those don’t turn up nights
Let’s hope they fly the French flag high. 🏳️🏳️🏳️

Cjay wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 2:18 pm Former amateur footballer turned 14% win percentage Premier League manager telling full internationals they aren't that good feels a bit odd :)

Like when Hecky was complaining about our squad with Pablo sat in the dressing room.

Reverse psychology maybe as you say.

Isn't wrong, just feel to say stuff like that you need to be talking from a position of strength (as a player or manager).
Although if Farke was saying how brilliant the players were you would be having a go at Farke along the lines of not being tough enough with them and giving them inflated egos. If he said you weren't a silly goose you'd argue with him and provide a 60 minute powerpoint presentation to prove to him that you were a silly goose.

I am consistent

I didn't like it when Hecky did it, nor Marsch.

Don't like Farke doing it either, think it's an odd way to motivate

I don't change my opinion based on manager if I think something is wrong.

Glad he's finally accepted he was wrong all season and gone for a back 3.

Let's hope it isn't too late.

Still remain absolutely convinced we should have played a back 3 from day 1, always worked well on FIFA.

Would be ironic if we win tonight and he gets sacked after finally finding a formation that works.

The Subhuman wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 7:35 pm Think 433 suits us best with inverted wingers playing narrow. That would allow you to perm any three from Nmecha, DCL, Gnonto and Okafor and even Harry Gray. Ampadu as the Sweeper falling back to make a three man defence when out of possesion. Stach/Tanaka as the central midfield.

I really think a fit Stach in a team devoid of Longstaff will be a much better player.
I do think Stach played better at the start of the season before Longstaff came into the team. Might be coincidence or just him playing when injury free.

Over the last 2 years our wingers have been a huge strength. Summerville, James, Gnonto, Soloman and even Ramizanni have all chipped in with a good level of goals and assists.

Aye, but he'd only have himself to blame Cussie.

We went for a load of big stiffs in the summer with the intent of being physical and hard to beat, but then he tries to play like we are Real Madrid with non-technical players :duno:

It's funny what the world and his wife knowing the sack is coming will do to principles.

It's nice to see it finally, hope it works.

Whether its works vs Chelsea who knows but absolutely convinced it's best for our squad if the style is right.

You could go 3-4-3 if you want to play a narrow front line.

Don't think a back 4 suits us at all myself, we concede for fun.

 as I said on Saturday, these are the actions of a desperate man. I remember our Saint Bielsa not playing Izzy Brown all season and then threw him on with 10 minutes to go against Derby to Save Our Souls :)

Yeah, surely a good coach recognizes our "strengths" and adapts his strategy to bring the best out of limited players.

Kagey made a good point about Dan James's injury possibly forcing Farke's hand on Saturday :duno:

I don't like Bijol playing, he's been poor at best this season and now he sits as the key man of a back three.
