Re: Leeds United v Chelsea Match Thread
I knew we'd win this. I also think we'll give Liverpool a game at the weekend. Might even predict a win there!
Only managed to grab 20 minutes of the second half as I had a Chiropractor appt down-town Ottawa (25 min drive there/back). Liked what I saw...

Yes but the Arsenal game aside, the first five games we looked reasonably good playing his usual system and that wasn’t months ago.

If Farke was sacked tonight how much would that set the squad back mentally??

Thought Bijol was great tonight, but is it a surprise, plays back 3 for Slovenia and for Udinese previously. I’m sure he must have been signed with back 3 in mind.

Was clear there was a mismatch between recruitment and Farke's system. Farke has caught up and they look decent.
Don't want him to be rigid on thid system now though, he needs to be flexible, play the oposition in front of you.

In parts yes
But our 2nd half vs Man City largely and this is the best we've performed imo.
Isn't a coincidence.
Pleased we won for us as fans and club.
Credit Farke for making the changes eventually, but it's not a coincidence it worked imo nor a coincidence he only did it when he was closer than ever to the door.

Not much, I suspect most are pissed off at his poor tactics for the rest of the season.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 10:24 pm If Farke was sacked tonight how much would that set the squad back mentally??

Certainly the players look to be playing for him. No signs that they don't like him.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 10:34 pm They’re clearly running through walls for Farke, I think it’d upset the applecart.
