I said this to my dad..... We're 3 points of Newcastle...... And all the money they've spent. It'll tell over the course of a season for sure but we're in with a shout at least especially if we add properly in January and do the business we should have done in the summer.... I don't buy the psr claim.... We tried to buy a 30 million. Pound striker and failed. Think its a case of presenting to other teams we don't have money.

Its a weird one.... He has more physicality than gnonto and always looks a pass away from being really effective but you've got to give gnonto a chance at this point. Think okafor could cause problems against tired legs too.

Bogle.... I'm not sure justin is any better..... Would like to see a right back coming in too so that a fresh bogle can close out games leaving Justin to cover gudmundsson until the summer (if we were lucky enough to survive).

No reason not to believe why we can't win there, as long as we don't play for a draw.

I may be old school, but wins at home and a point on the road has always been the formula for clubs trying to stay up.

Just hope we can get a point or two from these next 2 games that gap to West Ham could easily be down to 1 point by the end of the week, they have 2 very winnable games.

17 shots to their 8 and 57% possession. A good away point, but with better finishing we could have won it.

Good away performance

Aaronson, Stach, Bijol, DCL impressed.

Draw probably fair result.

On to Anfield.

My previous post was too timid, too restrained, too... polite. I didn't summon the sheer, unbridled arrogance required to bend the universe to Leeds' will. A measly draw against those Mackem pretenders? Pathetic.

We dominated the second half, battered their door down, and Calvert-Lewin made it six games on the spin with that ice-cold finish after a move so beautiful that involved a touch by every single Leeds player... it should've come with a warning label... it was so exquisite, and that move alone was deserving of 3 points,

But no, the cosmos conspired for a point instead of the absolute demolition we deserved. Entirely my fault for not being sufficiently pompous.

ElKapitan wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 4:02 pm Same, okafor for gnonto is kind of the same type of player for me.... Nmecha for DCL is the closest match but down think close to a straight swap. Need a big burly forward and definitely a cb now that Rodon looks injured for a period of a month at least if its ankle ligaments.
Yes, we do need cover for DCL with a big burly No.9 in mind. Are there any of those types around in that mould?

5 wins & 5 draws gives us in our next 20 games gives us 40 points.

I personally think we'll gather 45+

The current bottom three will struggle to get 30 points.
