I’m sure Farke was tempted to just go for it with 4-3-3 but he needs to keep an eye on goal difference when it could end up been really tight towards the end of the season. Cant see this team keeping Liverpool out for 90 mins though but we live in hope.

This lineup looks like a concession to me. Like Farke has decided we can't win and he needs to rest some players. I don't like it, but I do understand. The biggest takeaway for me is that Piroe is STILL on the bench. Which tells me there is no plan to get him into the side. Look for him to be sold soon....

Glad the game is away from home as the team selection would have completely deflated the ER crowd. Disappointed with the selection but I suppose you can see the logic behind it with the games coming thick and thin and especially the decision to rest DCL given his injury record.

With Gruev playing and no DCL I can’t see where goals are coming from, it’s a funny old game though.
