Another video from the young man who is an Arsenal fan with his thoughts on our performance against Forest.

It's unusual for him not to be head and shoulders our best CB, but there's been something not quite clicking recently.

Maybe it's the quality of the opposition, with Chelscum and the Arse, but he's started making errors which he wouldn't normally make - stray passes, poor positioning, ducking under the cross when Gyokeres(?) scored.

And there's no lack of effort, so it'll come good, form/quality etc.

Sorry Leon, I know he can do no wrong in your eyes. :)
I'm use to giving Rodon 8s & 9s, however in the Arsenal/Chelsea games my ratings for Joe were 6/10 & 7/10. so yes, you are correct Dave, his usual standard is lower even for his ardent fan.

Joe defended well for much of the Chelsea, a couple of loose passes, but he wasn't the only one with odd error or two. He was more than a 5/10, especially as I highlighted 13 pieces of excellent play, nothing spectacular, but Joe & Jaka kept us steady at the back against a high-class Chelsea attack. Bogle & Justin were higher, of course!

First time round, I thought Rodon looked out of place on the left but was ok overall.
When I watched the game again, after the initial awkwardness in his new roll, his second half performance was a lot better than I thought during the first time of watching.
Without the stress or emotion of watching the game live you sometimes get a more realistic view of events.

Watching the game for a second time, it confirmed my initial opinion Rodon wasn't as bad as portrayed by some.

Good to hear you agree, Finn

To be fair, better players than Joe have gone through spells were they dont play at their best every week. What makes the difference between those players and your average Joe ( no pun intended :) ) is that the really good players soon get to grips with it and put the poor displays behind them.
Joe will get back to his best soon enough, and thats another plus for us during the remainder of this season.

The Nmecha pen is a thing of beauty, not only does he make sure he scores but he puts it in a place where he can grab the rebound and return it to the centre circle quickly

We've taken 4 points off Chelsea & also score five goals to boot, this season. :-D

Who'd have thought that outcome?

Not bad for a newly promoted team against a team that cost billions ££££
