Re: Leeds United v Manchester City Match Thread
Nearly gave him a ten. That ball again to put Dominic away, followed up with another which the City player had to foul Gudds I think it was to stop the move. Another lovely pass which might have caused problems had Amps not decided to stick a boot in the way and lose possession. The pass wasn't for him. And there were other clever passes, including setting Amps up for a break and he lost control
We had some strong headers out, blocks, tackles, some excellent boxing out and also that goal saving block late on... Not a foot wrong all game, probably his most complete performance in a white shirt though he's come close a few times this season
Here's the thing, he's also left footed which in the modern game is critical to a balanced central defence. If he had a yard extra pace he maybe top 3 in the country but that slight lack of pace hurts a bit. Though he did well to hang on to Semenyo long enough to allow Rodon to help out... Meanwhile lumps like Konate and Mings play for top 5 clubs
30M now I think is his value, hopefully Pep wasn't watching too closely. I wouldn't sell though, finding another quality starting left footed CB will cost a fortune...
6 MOTM's for me this season, goes level with Stach...

If Pascal had pace, we would have a job on our hands keeping the vultures at bay.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 9:30 pm Nearly gave him a ten. Struijk is still young, so £30m is a good place to start when assessing his value.
I have Pascal as my MOTM on four occasions Everton (h) Manure (h), Man City (h) & (a). lets hope he has a stormer at Old Trafford to make it a Mancs fourfold.

Been so busy of late working I haven’t had time to watch the game, other than MoTD highlights.1964white wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 10:25 pm If Pascal had pace, we would have a job on our hands keeping the vultures at bay.

Let’s hope PS isn’t up next for a LUTV ‘day in the life’ production. It certainly did not do Amps any favours based upon the comments concerning his display.
Big game next - we get three points and the fat lady can start warming up her vocal chords.

Just a bad day at the office for Ampadu, he's still the first player on the team sheet imo!DDB220 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 10:40 pm Been so busy of late working I haven’t had time to watch the game, other than MoTD highlights.

Unusually, his errors overshadowed his good moments of play. God help us if we have to rely on Gruev to fill his boots, whose involvement on the ball is minimal in many games.
We don't look like a relegation team, two wins & couple of draws would see us safe from the drop.
For those who haven't seen Ampadu's clips.

Agreed, one of the first names. But nothing went right for him Saturday and his first touch let him down a lot.1964white wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2026 6:36 am Just a bad day at the office for Ampadu, he's still the first player on the team sheet imo!

The song "You cheating b*st*rds, you know what you are" must still be ringing in Pep & his players ears this morning.
Those Citeh players were visibly shocked how much abuse they got, after all their antics they got away with.

I don't believe they give a monkeys TBH.
If we played them tonight they'd be exactly the same.
Can the touchline stand any more spit on it?

Citeh fans more honest than their coach & players especially after the game.
One Citeh fan admiited Leeds were robbed in 1975.
They are definitely different to their Mancs neighbours.

Their reaction when they looked towards the kop at the final whistle said it all.PhoenixUnited wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2026 2:28 pm I don't believe they give a monkeys TBH.
