Aaronson atm, though in all honesty I would have started Gnonto for Okafor today as I thought he was carrying an injury... I don't mind Okafor and he got the goals today, but he fades very quickly and he's poor in defence imo..Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:19 pm Who you thinking of then? Aaronson has been out of form for a while

Yup, sad and ridiculous. but they are never negative, even when we win at the Scum sh1thole after 45 years. we're in the wrong for celebrating.GreennWhite wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:03 pm Yes, but some would rather keep telling us how bad we have been in recent years, how we havent done this or that since god knows when and prefer to keep being negative about the club.
Its pathetic.

Gnonto looked good but out wide, if he's replacing Aaronson, which is a reasonable shout he'd need to make an impact more centrally as the second striker, which I think he'd be great for.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:21 pm Aaronson atm, though in all honesty I would have started Gnonto for Okafor today as I thought he was carrying an injury... He was good tonight, intelligent slowing the game down and frustrating the Scummers.

He's quality every time he sets foot on the pitch for me... Gnonto can play anywhere across the front four plus he's a true two footer...Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:35 pm Gnonto looked good but out wide, if he's replacing Aaronson, which is a reasonable shout he'd need to make an impact more centrally as the second striker, which I think he'd be great for.

And we had to defend yet another unnecessary corner-kick, after conceding the ball cheaply deep in their half.weasel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 9:09 pm Hhhm those rose tinted glasses for your favourites, ignoring completely the time where Gnonto needlesddly lost it allowing MU to break dangerously. For me Gnonto is more of an impact sub to create something different, and a threat, or even to try to help us get a goal to put a game to bed, but not to hold onto the ball when we are in front.

Is blocking the new form of willy wagging?
If I were to do a venn diagram I would say that the blockers all belong to the subset of plodites.
If you are going to block someone don't mention it , do it quietly with no fanfare, you make yourself look fragile, and it is as though you all suffer from mass formation psychosis since you all decide to announce your blockings en masse.

This seasons odyssey despite not being given a key player in the summer.
And all from taking over when the owner had legged it and the squad was in chaos.
Then losing over 100m of talent after we lost the playoffs at the end of the first season
That's a pretty decent return so far.
He has had to make some very tough decisions personnel wise which puzzled us at times but here we are. Survival two wins away and a squad who would run through walls for him
As Marcelo would say.
Bueno.

Only the odd one or two thesedays.
I used to attend the majority of aways from 2004 to 2020, did most of the League One grounds.
Lots of aways from 1968 to 1974 & all the Midlands/London stadiums during the 90s when working & living in the South.
Wembley beckons!

That I'd agree with.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:11 pm DCL forearm smashing everyone all over the place apparently. Both goals should have been ruled out and not a red.
What was wrong with the 2nd?
DCL smashing the defender I'd assume for the 1st? Not for me

Was a bizarre thing to pull I suppose.weasel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:12 pm He should be complaining about the stupidity of his player. It is a bit soft but those are the rules. You could understand the player doing it if there wasn't VAR in place and you thought you could get away with it but to do it with all the camers is just stupid, even more so given where the offence took place and the non-existent danger of the situation.
Shirt, shorts etc, booking move on.
But you can't send a grown man off for pulling another grown man's hair and call it violent conduct . It wasn't even a particularly violent pull.
Silly.

Okafor has genuine pace & his shots often hit the target.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:06 pm In place of Okafor who scored twice?
What’s your thinking?
Scored in both of our two away victories.
I'm pleased for the lad who has received much criticism on here!

Heading for the 42 to 45 points mark I posted on here a couple of months ago.GreennWhite wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 10:08 pm So true, its just like Leeds to mess those games up![]()
But lets enjoy tonight and worry about those games when we come to them. We are still keeping it in our own hands and thats very important.

Dang!!
I needed Leeds to score one more goal to get correct score.
We won though so happy with that and got the valuable 3 points too.
