Ex player return poll
Always get whispers of an ex player returning in the summer.
Regardless of whether it's likely or possible
So how about 3 of our Championship stars.
Manor Solomon
Crycensio Summerville
Georginio Rutter
All theoretically possible in a way maybe to a degree.
Solomon hasn't had the best loan spells this season so unlikely perhaps he will make the move permanent and unlikely Spurs want him back.
Summerville of course with West Ham having the very real threat of relegation, he isn't staying if they are.
And Rutter has found his starts slightly limited at times for one reason or another.
And unlikely of course because.
Solomon may have other offers, he wasn't either keen or asked to return before.
Summerville does have interest from much richer clubs, lots of them.
Rutter cost Brighton a fortune and are never going to sell cheap and hasn't performed so badly Brighton are likely keen for a sale.
But if the opportunity arose.
Who would you want back if any and why?

Re: Ex player return poll
Not for me, going back is quite often a step back imo.
Solomon is no better than Okafor in my view.
Summerville has a tendency to go missing, particularly in big matches and a bit of a one trick pony, again in my view.
Rutter is probably the only one you could put a case forward for as he is yet to reach his ceiling. However it would still be a no from me.

Never go back in life, so it’s a no for any returning player for me.

None.
But players do come back and can be of assistance maybe later in their careers like Byram for example

Absolutely no chance of that I felt.
He's young, talented and home grown, hed go for an absolute fortune if Spurs went down.

30k a week is championship wages and just wrong in the prem, Just say you don't want any of them. I'm fine with that.

Georginio got a brilliant reception from the fans when he was warming up and then coming on & then gave the fans a wave after the game.

I loved the first thing he did was go chat to Joe then go find Ethan .... I reckon he said to Joe "Go easy mate, I wanna look good to the manager"

I voted for NONE. We are going to need better players added to our squad, particularly in the attacking areas if we are to be successful. I've seen what these players can do in the Premier League. We will need to do better....

I've gone for none because we don't need wingers the way we play now, and we need a more specialized creator than Geo behind DCL going forward.
May change next season, who knows.

Other players are;
Ian Baird, Sam Byram , Alex Cairns, Lee Chapman (loan), John Charles, Wilf Copping, Brian Deane (loan), Fabian Delph (loan), Andy Gray, Peter Lorimer
Not counting Jack Clarke who was loaned straight back and Michael Gray who had two loan spells.

Re: Ex player return poll
I'd say Byram and Cairns have been successes, never saw Charles play, nor Copping. Seem to recall Deane having a decent second spell, wasn't Delph injured a lot second time round. Lorimer was headed toward his 40's second time around.. Still 17 goals in 76 "appearances"YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2026 7:13 pm Other players are;

So I think we've had a fairly successful time with players coming back and in this case Geo/Gray or Cry would all still be before peak years. Usually you get them back in their declining years

I went for none. Think we could get more bang for our buck elsewhere.
Jimmy and Solomon certainly don’t fit the Big B******s FC profile

Re: Ex player return poll
Archie Gray only for me. Solomon snubbed us, Summerville left for peanuts cos the grass was greener and we broke even on Rutter but he wanted to go anyway. I'm a great believer in if they don't wanna be here: get rid!
