Re: Today's Games
Rooting for Notts County my home team. Odd that County are inside the city boundary (as is Meadow Lane) and Forest aren’t (making Forest a County-based team).
First match I ever went to in 1976 as a 10 year old was Notts C 0-1 Leeds, FA Cup 3rd round (Clarke winner)…

Reminder Gary Neville let his hometown club with a stand named after his father go under, while continuing to pump money into a plastic vanity project with no fans

Interesting how the goalie grabbed the refs attention by going down and waving his arms about, meaning the ref had to stop play.

Adam Wharton is really good.
Hope England don’t regret leaving him at home.

Can't be that good if Tuchel doesn't rate him. Isn't that how it works, if you're not picked you're not good enough?

Maybe he thinks Anderson and Wharton are too alike. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2026 8:22 pm Can't be that good if Tuchel doesn't rate him. Isn't that how it works, if you're not picked you're not good enough?

Rayo Vallecano boss is a proper Bielsa disciple.
MB wanted him as his Assistant not long ago.

I was trying, unsucessfully, to make a point. Just because a manager doesn't rate you doesn't mean you're not really good

Yeah.
Bielsa tried to get him in his coaching staff twice, Iraola did as well.

Yes I know, however I was trying to give a possible reason on TT’s behalf. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2026 8:34 pm I was trying, unsucessfully, to make a point. Just because a manager doesn't rate you doesn't mean you're not really good

Another trophy for Palace.
Fantastic achievement, particularly given they sold Eze and Guehi.
Glasner has been brilliant

Record Premier League points total and all their major trophies.
Probably got a claim as their best ever manager.

Palace played 60 games this season…… and we moan about committing to an FA Cup run. Next season we will be a bit more solid, mature and confident.

Re: Today's Games
Three trophies in two seasons is unbelievable, and despite losing Olise to Bayern Munich, Mateta almost going in January, and plenty of turmoil and disagreement between Glasner and Parish.
Outstanding manager and will be having a glittering career.
