Maybe he thinks Anderson and Wharton are too alike.
Taking an almost 37 years old Jordan Henderson, who has no legs, to play in 35c,, and whose a very limited player, ahead of 22 years old Adam Wharton is complete madness.
Doesn't bode well for our chances at the World Cup.

I’d forgotten about Henderson.
Gone for experience I suppose, although one thing about the WC semi- final was Henderson hoofing the ball away when we were under pressure.
Mind you, many before him have done that too.

That is a very bold selection, I concur.

Three trophies in two seasons is unbelievable, and despite losing Olise to Bayern Munich, Mateta almost going in January, and plenty of turmoil and disagreement between Glasner and Parish.
Outstanding manager and will be having a glittering career.

If we're picking players based on their competence at hoofing the ball up the park then we're already cooked.
I never rated Henderson when he was in "his prime". I think Adam Forshaw could run around.more now.
Problem for me is that his inclusion means the other midfielders have to do his running and tackling, so we're already at a disadvantage and heaping more work on the others.

A £50m signing on the bench for their cup final.
Metata is a far better striker option.
Mateta was on his way, hence the need for another striker. And TBH I think withot JSL they're probably going down as CP had that whole Mateta not playing thing and he got key goals and goal contributions in that period. They drop 6-8 points without JSL and I think that puts them below West Ham. 50M well spent if you consider the amount relegation would have cost them... He's a very good footballer, off season will help him bed in, I'd imagine Mateta is on his way and then JSL gives then a very good striker to start the season with
If Mateta stays then JSL is probably a bench player, Mateta the better striker and worth 75M? ish

It's been a brilliant season for English football, with Villa and Palace both winning trophies in fine style.
I'm really hoping that Arsenal can complete the hat-trick and win the Champions League.
I'm very jealous that we haven't had these experiences at Leeds for decades, and hope the great times will return.
It would be churlish to not cheer on the Gunners, so come on Arsenal
I'm being churlish. Come on PSG. Can't stand Atreta and his whinging cheating cronies
