Pascal should have played for Curacao... If all it needs is a Dutch passport

I didn't see it that way at all. Looked pretty full to my very trained eye. (I spent years doing sports media). The official attendance is listed at 67,966. For English fans that are used to going to games in the UK I will say that it's different. There is MUCH more movement within the stadium during play here. At any given moment you might have several thousand fans using restrooms or taking advantage of concessions. World Cups tend to have a lot of neutral or casual fans that might just not be glued to their seat. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 9:39 am Lots of empty seats at the Niners stadium, looked a third empty

He could have played for Suriname also. Just like Joel Piroe did.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 5:30 pm Pascal should have played for Curacao... If all it needs is a Dutch passport

My guess is that a LOT of people were trying to get out of the sun. With a Noon kickoff local time the sun was just beating down on most of the stadium. And with no cover, it's brutal!! It was about 85 Degrees Fahrenheit kickoff.

Nmecha now wins a penalty, which Havertz scores

Yesterday's attendance numbers. All matches were either sold out, or within 95% capacity. For example, the smallest crowd was in Vancouver. Stadium capacity there is only 54,000.

Maybe, Pascal has set is sights higher, rather just going for a glory cap moment. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 5:30 pm Pascal should have played for Curacao... If all it needs is a Dutch passport

He’s playing very well Malcolm, albeit I’m not sure about the quality of the opposition.

The papers this morning reckon 35,000 Aussies in Vancouver right now. (The area has an Aussie population of over 10,000 - so would include many of them).BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 6:02 pm Yesterday's attendance numbers. Wonderful scenes of celebration - including one guy wearing a yellow blazer and a pair of "budgie smugglers". Gotta love the Aussies.
Cant wait to see the scenes of the Dutch fans - they are the best!

Germany are absolutely ruthless! And I don't think they will take their foot off the gas. I suspect that the Curacao goal will be the highlight of their tournament. They are getting absolutely overrun!
