Poor deal for us.

Best ball playing cb we have and left footed cbs are like gold dust.

Should have been offering him new terms for the last 2 years.

I got the feeling we tried replacing him last season, 20M is fine for a one yr contract. But I doubt we get better at the position for next season. The Wolves guy nowhere near the same class.

Big scr profit as an academy player (be basically total profit).

Suspect it's always been the plan.

Shame.

Watched the Wolves guy this WC, has been awful.

Makes me sad, been pretty dependable for us last season and a decent ball player.

Struijk one of the last Orta players, we've made a lot of money out of those over the last 3 seasons.

As for the Wolves defender, he was pants for Wolves too whenever I saw him, so I expect MOT will love him...

Wasted a lot as well

Struijk is one of his most successful signings and the last of the Bielsa era?

Underrated Pascal by some.

Should have been getting him signed up before people like Dan James

Charlie is right footed IIRC, I mean I'd love him back but he'd be a Rodon replacement. Esteve would make me smile

I do wish we knew how we're gonna line up next season.

New goalie, new CB. Are we rebuilding the defence again? It became our strength last season after a dodgy start

Sense of inevitability about that.

He wants a new challenge etc, not sure any new deal from us makes any difference.

He doesn’t want to be here, we take the money and move on.

Don't we all? A fit James would push Wilson for best right wing at the club imo... He just wasn't fit last season.

I kinda assumed he wouldn't be here next season. Hoped he would but assumed he wouldn't. 20M is a very fair price and he goes to a team better than Leeds atm. So it's a step up and he'll play in Europe next season.

Very strong doubts about James at the top level imo.

Also sad to lose him - has been a wonderful servant to the club and a credit to the shirt.
But Farke did say that a lot of the decision was up to the player.
Im not surprised to hear him say he wants a fresh challenge - just got married, new adventrures, etc.

Wish him all the best.

I tend to agree. At PL level he's a good squad player giving some pace from off the bench. But not starting 11 imo.

Pascal has been at Leeds since 2018.

Eight years is a long period at a club for a modern-day footballer.
