My way of thinking, Tom.

Unfortunately, we are too soft in the UK, some would say civilised,

Rapists, murderers & criminals deserve no privileges.

The recent recidivism rate in the UK is 28.9 % rising to a crazy 56.6 % for those serving less than 12 months. 10 years ago it was 29.4, good to see the soft approach with early release, tv’s, radios, counselling, legal aid etc making such a difference.

Some sickening breaking news.
Anne Widdecombe died after being hit on the head with a hammer 21 times! She was eating her lunch when the accused arrived at her house and entered through the front door. He was only in the property for two minutes, hitting her repeatedly, tipped her from her chair and then took her wallet before driving off.
No words....

Sickening!!!!

He'll plead diminished responsibility in his partial defense.

He should be hung or electocuted.

Why should the general public pay for these monsters to lead a cushie life in prisons?

I despair what has happened to what was once a great country when I was brought up many moons again.

Interesting that they say the murder was politically motivated, yet they haven't got the balls to inform the general public what his politics were/are.

I mean, i don't want to come across as a smart alec but it doesn't require a great deal of thought to know the type of
political ideology this scumbag is a part of.

They can't accuse him of being 'far-right' and as a consequence they seem reluctant to inform the public of how dangerous these types are.

Don't worry, you didn't come across as remotely smart.
They haven't said that the murder was politically motivated (unless by 'they' you mean Farage and him mates), they've said they're still investigating. I'm sure you'll get all the juicy details when they've finished the investigation, and if they find what you've already discovered you'll be able to demonise 'these types' (whoever they might be) along with all those nasty immigrants.

There was CCTV in the kitchen Jay. The police have seen it and commented on it. 21 blows with a hammer, thrown out of her chair and robbed. All in 2 minutes. Must have been a horrifying, sickening video to have to watch. :(

Another camera in the hallway facing into the kitchen that was found by detectives showed Widdecombe eating her lunch, the court was told.

Kerry asked Widdecombe: “Don’t suppose you have bank cards and ID,” prosecutor Kashif Malik said.

He then hit her on the top of the head with the hammer 21 times before tipping her out of the chair where she fell on to the floor, Malik added. It is alleged that Kerry reached into Widdecombe’s handbag and took her wallet. “He was there for only two minutes,” Malik said.

Well it would explain how they could pick Kerry up at his house in Rotherham if they had visual evidence of who commited the crime.

What surprises me is that the perpetrator didn't check for security cameras, smash them up, tape them up, or spray them with paint like they do on bank robbery heists movies.

Clearly he was not very organised or sophisticated. He should at least have worn a mask or a balaclava so as not to be recognised like the attendees do at protest marches.

AI generated response.

Indoor vs. outdoor: People prioritize exterior coverage (entry points, perimeter) first. Indoor cameras raise more privacy concerns (e.g., for guests, family, or in rentals) and are often used for specific needs like baby/pet monitoring.

Trends point to continued growth with smarter AI features, but indoor use remains a minority preference compared to overall cameras.

In short, having some home security camera is now majority or near-majority behavior in the US and rising elsewhere, but a dedicated indoor one is still more of a "nice-to-have" for about a quarter of households rather than the norm. Usage varies by location, family situation, and priorities.

We've installed indoor camera's at Mr Swans Mum's house. She is 90 and has had several falls. There is a camera in the sitting room also taking in the stair lift, a camera on the landing and a camera in the downstairs hall.
Example. A few weeks ago Mr Swan checked on her before he went to bed at 11.50pm. No sign of her in the sitting room and the stair lift was downstairs. The kitchen door was shut which it never is (wedged open for easy access with her walking frame.) There was no option but to drive 10 miles at midnight to check on her. She was wedged behind the kitchen door, her head cut open from hitting the cupboard handles. No choice but to call the ambulance as we couldn't get her up off the floor. She was in hospital for ten days....now at home. The kitchen door has been removed!!

On Sunday her personal alarm went off....we looked at the cameras, the stairlift was upstairs. The bedroom door was shut. We could hear her banging her walking stick on the floor...... The door had closed, she had tried to open it whilst holding on to her walking frame and toppled backwards. This time we managed to get her up - no damage done. The bedroom door will now be removed.

So the indoor cameras are a necessity to us, giving us peace of mind (and his Mum)....
