If we really wanted him, we'd pay the £30m Southampton want, just like big Tarik. We obviously don't, so time to move on. He isn't worth the hype anyway.

I feel we really want him but equally you have to trust your own valuation and work within the budget. Paying an extra £5m for him could be the difference between being also able to afford someone else, such as James Trafford, or not being able to do that and having to go for someone further down the list.

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan

Did you post them because there's something wrong with your brain

We got to move on from Charles we are wasting time on this guy if he wanted to be a Leeds player he would have made it happen by now ,as I said b4 he is a championship player simple as .We need a keeper, striker, central def sorted ASAP .
You do realise the owning club has a say? He could go on strike and force a move but would we want a player who'd do that

Brandt is an experienced classy midfielder/winger who has played at the highest level.
I'd like them both but I'd prefer the young prodigy we could double or triple our money on. I'm just not sure how much further Brandt gets us up the table compared to Charles. There's no resale on Brandt and we have plenty of fading talent

No resale, but also no transfer fee to get him here. Pretty good value if we can get him signed.
Again there will be a sign on and high salary.. Lets not forget DCL will cost us more than Anton Stach in the end. If Brandt comes you have to figure 100k plus weekly bonuses minimum.. I'd guess it'd be more, would also depend on how many years he wants.

Shea is the type of player we can purchase once we are an established Premiership team. Brandt is the type of player who we can fit in now: and he'll be hecking dynamite! Shea is a luxury we cannot afford. Doesn't matter that Brandt has no resale: he is a player we can get 3 years out of for no fee. Under the confines of the structure we have to work with: Brandt IS a luxury we can afford...

So you'd have been happier to get a 30 yr old free CB rather than spend 34M and a large salary on a 22 yr old? Isn't he a luxury we can't afford too?

Are you just acting thick? There is no comparison. Tarik is quality and we have bought a proven player who will last us years. Shea is not good enough to start for me. Brandt comes straight in as our best midfielder. Stupid question pal...
