He pushed the full back on and dropped 1 cm to make a back 3
That isn't flexibility you see that in the conference as I said.
By your logic every manager is flexible because no team sticks rigidly to their on paper formation in game.
Bielsa teams had a high level of flexibility, Farke no, and don't you try and argue their wasn't a huge amount of difference between the positional rotation between the two.
You know that would be a lie
Most managers/coaches have a degree of flexibility with how their teams now play during the matches. However the level of flexibilty Farke's side show in the game is far in advance of I would say 95% of managers. It hasn't been a case of just saying to a fullback you push forward and the dm can cover for you. If you saw Firpo as just a full back pushing on then I can understand why you keep coming to the wrong conclusions. Farke's side have over the 2 1/2 years repeatedly have done far more than just having one fullback overlapping. This season though I think he has taken it to new levels as it hasn't just been a case of us facing oppositions that have parked the bus (which made it easier for us to basically play without any real need for defenders).
Similar to you though I do feel that since the City half time changes he has really gone into overdrive, however it has for the main part being starting games with 532 but then changing away from that basic formation because of the game situation and often heading back to more of a 2/3/4 at the back.

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan

Nothing wrong with a well placed double negative, most of history's great writers used them including Shakespere
Didn't say there was anything wrong just found it amusing that it was the forum's negative nellie deciding to use two double negatives when he could have done the sentence without using one. Never misses a chance to be negative.

Lukas Nmecha has the fourth best minutes per goal or assist ratio - one every 101 minutes - among Premier League players in all competitions this season. 7 goals and 2 assists in just 906 minutes. Only Haaland, Cherki and Palmer ahead of him.

He reminds me of the Nketiah dilemma we had under Bielsa. Nketiah scored goals at a decent clip but didn't fit the system as well as Bamford. Nmecha scoring goals at a decent clip but doesn't fit the system as well as DCL.
Would definitely like to see them start together as well as having Aaronsen as the 8 to give a link between attack and midfield.

Only 4th best? Rubbish.
Piroe had the best in the Championship last season and still got criticised most weeks

Can anyone explain when he fights the cb for a high ball played up to him he ends up on his arse appealing for a free kick?
Because he's not a target man, like CJay says he's a wide forward (a winger is different) . DCL and Nmecha are completely different type players.

I thought he was our brightest attacking player.
Low bar admittedly.
But felt he atleast was a threat on the rare occasions he got near the goal.
Quite why DF has him playing left wing no idea.
But once again he deserved to stay on the pitch imo when others who played worse did instead
It is pretty simple DCL occupies the attention of two defenders which creates space for others. Simply because teams recognise his quality. Nmecha had a few good moments and an horrendous touch when he had broken through with initial good play.
He was the right forward to change but still mystified why he opted for Okafor.

I disagree
DCL is decent in the air, ok at holding the ball up but not great. A 32 year old Ethan Pinnock was clearly bought in specifically for him and dealt with him quite easily
Nmecha despite playing wide left for some reason actually was a threat at times.
A poor man's Rutter is probably an accurate description but like Georgie he's a threat.
Didn't deserve to come off imo.
Do agree on the Okafor comment though.

Also did I. What you won’t have seen on tv were the runs he made between their CBs to get behind which our CBs didn’t seem interested in. You could see him getting visibly frustrated as they passed the ball sideways or back. Just once- once- I’d have loved them to speculate and take a chance- like Gruev did weeks ago for Bogle..

Per known reliable Daily Mail source Simon Jones.
Wrexham want Nmecha
Wanting and getting are two different things. Also heard Tanaka is looking for more game time and there's interest.
We're down to a 20 man squad (with Gruev injured) and one of those is Cairns.. 14 days left of the window and as it stands we have a starting 11, 9 bench and that's it. Any injuries and our bench becomes depleted

Tanaka and Gnonto wanting more football has been well reported for months.
Thing is with Nmecha you don't sell him now you have to offer him a new deal or he walks for 0.
