Pascal over committed himself with the non-tackle & didn't block the cross, Bogle got caught on the wrong side of Gyökeres.
Its levels..... Struijk is guaranteed a brainfart once per match in a situation that could cost.... Has always been the same despite his normal good play. Against arsenal its punished.
Bogle.... Gyokeres is a beast. Certainly looks like he put weight on. Bogle isn't a great defender..... Even at champ level his strengthblay in attack and I wouldn't say he'd have much chance against a cf in this league 1v1.. More concerned why our CB's werent on him.

We've got the entire defensive core, including Ampadu, and Trafford, locked down now on new contracts. (Bijol is one year into a five year contract). So we are clearly building from the back. I really like this a lot!!!

Good point - I hadnt thought about that. Funny how when Pascal left we thought we were in defender hell for the new season - and here we are with a pretty damn good back line. Great stuff. Well done 49ers.
Now finish the window with a flourish and bring in a 10 or 9 and that back-up keeper (don't want to have to rely on Cairns - as much as he is Leeds through and through.)

The Muha link came as we were considering selling Pascal so, assuming we'd get that one over the line and we were fairly avanced, it was clear even before Pascal left the back three would be stronger. A delve into Muharemovich's tape told me that very early. (Charles was the other player of that quality I'd have loved, shame that)

I would suggest, but it's open for debate, that we don't need to sign a #10 in this window. Another useful #9 would be great to provide cover for our two injury prone strikers. But until we strengthen our fullbacks and switch to 4 at the back there is no reason to go out and buy a playmaker. I see us primarily back in the 3-4-2-1 again this season. With Okafor, Wilson, Aaronson, Gnonto, and James (In that order) to cover those two attacking spots.
