7pm Italian window closing gives our board an excuse not to recall Willy. Get out of jail free card. Doubt we get Bahoya over the line before that. Still no news on Bard who we've been talking to for a whole day now.

Whilst I won’t say it’s been a bad window overall, it is a bit of an odd one - go in to it saying most money will be spent in attack and come out of it with 80+ million spent on 2 goalkeepers and 3 defenders with just a free transfer in the attacking area - that’s a big change in priorities that warrants a bit of explanation.
The thing is though that it depends who is available. When it becomes known that James Trafford is a possibility then is it worth keeping £50m in the bank in case a striker on the list becomes available or do you pivot and sign someone who is potentially a fantastic keeper? For me if your likely first choice target as a keeper is available and your top 10 choices for a striker aren't looking likely then I'd go for the keeper every time. Similarly that might have been the case with Tarik. Do you sign the top defender on your list or sign the 27th best attacking midfielder cos no one higher is available?

Why are we still not developing players? 2 years ago, everyone was creaming that Harry Gray was better than Archie and here we are: he's out on loan. But Harry is too young right? Well Alan Smith, Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney weren't too young at 17!
Maybe there is a clue in what you post - just maybe Harry isn't as great as the hype suggests. Certainly didn't rip up any trees at Rotherham and similarly not ripping up the league with Sheff Wed.
Hopefully in time we start having a few come through, hopefully Harry lives up to the hype too.

Fair point Victor, I think we still are developing them, by letting them get first team experience in other clubs. Herr Farke has shown he doesn't take risks in the 1st team so by keeping them at ER we're probably holding them back. By letting them play and develop elsewhere we get them back next season ready to slot in.
Interesting to know if there are any recall clauses in the loans?
Why would Farke start a player for us who has not even excelled so far in League 1? Just cos someone is young and have a famous surname doesn't give them a free pass into the first team.
Farke showed with the other Gray that if the player is good enough to be in the starting line-up that he will start him

Just James to get rid of now and the last of that (short) era will be gone but it helped massively in getting us here.. Aaronson was right on the cusp and I always felt he was a Niners signing anyway
"A mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work if it's not open"
So, deadline has passed. I'm slightly perturbed tbh. Gnonto/Piroe gone for Baloyo in. No backup for DCL unless Nmecha is it (neither are prolific). We have enough midfielders and defenders and goalkeepers but... and I'm not complaining but... do we have enough?
Has this window been good enough? Remember, the 49'ers promised us attacking options would be expanded and strengthened! Have they though? Wilson and Bahoya are definite upgrades but are they starters? Bahoya will be so that's Aaronson gone. Does Wilson start over Aaronson? Okafor, Bahoya, Wilson looks great on paper but is that our attacking mids to start with DCL up top?
Maybe one of you will put me right on numbers because I think squad depth is low...
Possibly worth remembering that for much of Pep Guardiola's trophy laden reign at Man City he would go with a squad of only 20 players. Marcelo Bielsa likewise said you could only have 2 senior players for each position and if there was a third then it had to be a youth player.

About £10.25m as the season runs 42 weeks outta 52
Are you saying footballers only receive wages 42 weeks a year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps you should look at the various websites that list the players wages and it confirms the 52 weeks per year, as per my calculation rather than your 42
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players
