Just got in and the revelation of today is that there isn’t enough beer in Leeds to disguise how BORING that game was. Ampadu apart there wasn’t a single player earned his corn today. No fighting for second balls, no closing down, no composure on the ball. No urgency. It seemed as though every surge forward was halted prematurely to pass it back again. I thought those days had gone? Did we have a single shot on target? I can’t recall one.

Wasn't it Tanaka who committed the silly foul just outside our box, the one with Trafford making a fantastic save? The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 5:26 pm Tanaka better than Amps for me, would have been MOTM probably had he stayed on

I thought tanaka was mainly ineffective, with a couple of nice moments thrown in. Not his best game, second to Ampadu but miles better than Stach, who I think is only on the field for his free kicks right now. Aaronson offers nothing against a physical team.

Yes, I was surprised how poorly we matched up against them. I did make the point that they survived last season due to their away form as they were terrible at home.PhoenixUnited wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 5:16 pm I have to say that the substitutions coming on today did nothing at all to improve or change matters on the pitch. If anything it made our poor display even worse.
Payless passed the ball better and, far from being knackered due to their European adventure on Thursday, they finished the match stronger than us. I thought we were second best all match.
Glasner's continued that at Forest. Even though it was Lampard, I was really glad for Coventry and their fans with that spirited win at Forest last night.
I thought we looked very flat today and more like a team suffering a European hangover.

Exactly, I remember O'Leary getting Bowyer and co to rough them up and it knocked them out of their stride.
I vaguely remember Robert Pires shouting "Dirty whore" in French at DOL as he was frustrated at the way we ruffled their feathers

They are so easily knocked off the ball it's not funny Leon. They are not up to this standard of football and should have been shipped out already.
When people are braying about a strong bench that includes Zetterer, Longstaff, James and Aaronson they must still think we're in the Championship.
Pray that we don't get injuries

That was the worst performance by Leeds that I have seen in ages, and against a side that we should have beaten. We were very very lucky not to loose. No closing down, far too many loose passes and if memory serves me right one shot on goal in each half. If it hadn't been for Trafford we would have been stuffed.

We love passing the ball backwards.
Sorry I missed you & Mrs OB.

We got away with one there, James.White Riot wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 2:55 pm I think we stole a point tbh, very poor performance.
Arsenal will clatter us if we rock up like this at their gaff.
Thank god the Palace goal was ruled out.

I was surprised farke didn't switch to a back 4 to try and shake things up. both teams cancelled each other out but they seemed quicker to the loose balls and technically better but equally as toothless up front. farke's substitutions have so far been more timely and effective this season but sadly not today. he should have made the changes earlier though in reality it would have made no difference without the system change as they were totally ineffective. not sure why bahoya was given so little time as he looked as if we could cause trouble but difficult to make a judgement on 90 seconds.
this was never going to be the walk in the park that some thought after the Newcastle victory and perhaps the dampening of expectations is a good thing. we are still finding our feet in this league and we will need luck and opponents under performing to achieve results like Monday nights. the important thing is we didn't lose and if we can keep that up then this can be a really good season.
